Yellow Towels

mathews31

Question

I have a pair of towel that I'm 95% sure I got from Adam's, they're yellow, and very soft, they're cut right at the edges and they're not wrapped in the silk around the edges. They are rectangles. I've had these for while but I have no idea what they're used for. I've tried them for just about everything and they don't work well for me.

If I try to use them for wax removal they don't wipe well, they keep getting stuck and unfolding from fourths.

If I try them for just regular detail spray or waterless wash they do the same. Someone please tell me what these are for.

I have been using Adam's since 2009, but do not remember a yellow plush MF towel.  The first towels i bought were blue.  Maybe the glass towels were yellow for a time?  They are soft MF towels, but are smooth not plush.

Are these the same ones they were giving away with the pumpkin detail spray? I use them with the detail spray and they work great.

Maybe they were the ones I bought with detail spray because I do have PDS

Update:

I just checked and yeah they were the ones with the PDS. But is that all they are good for, because I don't actually use the DS that much

The towels that Ron pictured above were the light orange towels that we sold last fall with the return of Pumpkin Spice Detail Spray. They were larger 24"x16" towels compared to the 16"x16" borderless gray plush towels we have currently (as well as the older 16"x16" darker orange borderless plush towels we had the first time Pumpkin Spice Detail Spray was released, and the light blue 16"x16" borderless plush towels we had a few years back).

You can use them for Detail Spray wipe-downs, polish/sealant/glaze/wax removal, and so on. They're a pretty versatile towel and very soft to minimize the chance of damage to your paint/clear coat.

I bought a set last year that contained two of the orange towels and the Pumpkin Spice detail spray.  Still have some of the Pumpkin Spice detail spray left as a matter of fact.  The towels work extremely well for simple wipe downs or removing wax or glaze.

Really, I'm pretty sure I washed them and even when I tried to use them to remove Americana, I felt like they kept leaving little threads and not actually removing wax. Not to mention they don't hold their shape well; like they tend to lose their fold
