What are these?

MrRaspberryJam

Question

After washing my dads car this morning I noticed these little defects on the hood and a couple more throughout the car. Looks like burn spots or even clear coat damage, never seen it before. What should I try?

Also looking for some Adams remedies for headlight restoration!

Thanks!post-13943-0-56698700-1494622357_thumb.jpgpost-13943-0-41879400-1494622373_thumb.jpg

Hi Austin,

From the photos, those areas look like they could possibly be paint chips down to the primer. If you feel the area, does it indent downward at all, or does it feel level and smooth as you run your fingers over both areas?

If the area feels smooth, you could try Detail Spray and a Visco Clay Bar first to see if it is some sort of overspray or stain (bird bomb, etc). If the clay bar does not remove the spots, you would then have to step up to a polish - Revive Hand Polish or our Orange Correcting Polish by machine.

For headlight restoration, I'll start by claying the headlight, then Heavy Correcting Compound with a Blue/White Microfiber Cutting Pad on our Cordless Drill Adapter Plate, then step down to the Blue Foam Pad with Heavy Correcting Compound, and then finally our Finishing Polish with a White Foam Pad. Something tells me that we might be finalizing some things very soon for a solution here soon :secret:

Thank you for the help Dan! I'm gonna give that a try on Monday and let you know the results. I hope something is in the works! I love when new stuff comes out!!
