Products in gallons

Olgrey93

Question

Hi all! I went to grab my apc to clean an old hat that I wear all the time and noticed I was almost out. That made me think. What products do y'all use enough to order gallon refills?

Ps apc cleaned up the hat great!!!

DS

Tire shine

Carpet and upholstery cleaner

WW (rinseless 16:1)

Microfiber Revitalizer

I wish the paint sealant, compounds and polishes would come in larger sizes for us detailers!

I keep the following in gallons

Detail spray

APC

RInseless

Leather and Interior Cleaner

Glass Cleaner (I clean my windows once to twice a week minimum)

Really thats about it. I do like to play with the MBs so I tend to have a stock of 16oz bottles around.

If I didnt play as much with the MB's I would also keep

Tire Shine

Wheel cleaner

TRC - This one will probably move up the list soon.

Cost wise, they are better but sometimes use doesnt justify it

The fastest: APC, Wheel Cleaner, Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner (I use CUC in the house a lot too)

Next: Glass Cleaner, Car Shampoo

I go through a medium amount of VRT too. I bought a 36oz of that; a gallon would be too much.

  3. Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner
  4. Car Wash Shampoo (but this is the old/retro red and is several years old)
  5. UCS

I'll order pretty much anything I can in a larger quantity.  It's cheaper for me that way and ensures I have enough product.  Doing this also helps me cut down on the frequency that I have to order.  When there's a new product, I'll usually order a 16 ounce bottle as well so that I have one for actual use, then refill the gallons.

For some products, I'm even entertaining the thought of getting the five gallon sizes.

I've noticed a trend lately that it seems that Adam's is going to smaller sizes for a fair number of products (polish, sealant, odor neutralizer, etc.).  I can understand the need for smaller quantities to be available, but some of us can (and do) use the larger quantities.  For some products, the smaller quantities have pushed me towards evaluating other products that are available in larger sizes.  I try to buy smart so that I can keep my pricing where it is and still make some profit at the end of a job.  I'm hoping they decide to bring back the larger quantities for most of the products.

This pretty much hits home. I cant justify using some Adams products because its to expensive for me to make a profit when i can get other products in larger sizes at a more reasonable price.

I try to keep to Adam's when I can because I like the results they give and it's what got me started so I feel a loyalty on some level.  Even with discounts and such, sometimes it's hard to keep to the line when there's much smarter buying alternatives out there.  I've had some messages with Dan in the past.  I hope they reevaluate their quantities sometime and offer the larger supplies once again.

I especially wish the polishes, compounds, and sealants would come in bigger sizes. I currently do about 2-3 cars a week and I go through a lot of these and it can get expensive, especially compared to other companies, but I would rather use Adams for the quality results. Edited by Nathan

Yeah but it would be nice to not have to order as often, but I suppose I do that anyways with all the new products that come out!

I have gallons of detail spray, car shampoo, all purpose cleaner, rinseless wash, wheel cleaner, microfiber revitalized. I use most of these often. But I also have a gallon of tire shine that I haven't had to use yet. A 16oz bottle last me a while. I guess it better to have extra than not enough.
