0 GXPaycheck
Go to garagejournal.com and check out some of the lighting threads. Tons of good info and suppliers. Thorsager
0 2012srt8
Seems the costco ones might be decent. Some have covers over the leds and some don't? Which would be better for detailing?
0 tbarn
They put LED's in our shop, not impressed. Very shadowy, not any brighter. Probably saves the company money though. Do your math. X2 on the garagejournal site.
0 SumBeach35
I try not to recommend much but Matt from Obsessed Garage has some awesome lighting videos. He definitely did his research and his and his fiends garage that used his lighting combo look really good

Didn't realize o could just add led in place of the halogen bulbs. I have 8 footers so hopefully these are an improvement.
0 mc2hill
For general paint correction 5000K daylight bulbs work well. Other temp ranges may work better for other tasks.

0 hemi1300
I was gonna go with led garage lights when we built our house a few years ago with a 3 and a half car garage, until I found t5 high output fixtures, love these lights. Have 4 of them in my garage with 6500k daylight bulbs, and they light up the garage like no other http://m.homedepot.com/p/Lithonia-Lighting-4-Light-T5-White-High-Output-Fluorescent-High-Bay-IBC-454-MV/202838871
0 1911A1
With LED's 5-6K is generally considered daylight as you get into the 7K and above you start to get into a more blue light, below 4500 it gets more yellow.
