Detail Spray or Waterless Wash?

So...when does everyone use Detail Spray or Waterless Wash? Or how do you decide which to use?

I kind of feel they almost do the same thing.

Honestly, I dont use DS when my car is dusty.  I prefer using WW due to the higher lubricity.  I then follow up with light mists of DS for extra shine and gloss.

I use Detail Spray as a drying aid during the drying process. I will blow most of the water off the car then spray a panel with DS and dry with a 480 gsm microfiber towel.

 

I use waterless wash more as a spot or light dust remover on a smaller area of the car. I know it can be used as a complete wash option I just don’t use it that way.  

 

I keep a bottle of WW with me so when I get to work and see any light dust or dirt I’ll spray on the WW and remove it using a 490 gsm microfiber towel. It works great for me that way I don’t scratch the paint.

I use DS for claying, drying aid and for my cars that get dusty setting in the garage. I use WW on my cars that get dirty while driving.

Our new Highlander is ceramic coated and I used the WW after a road trip to our daughters. I only used it on the front where all the bugs hit. It worked well.
