Just how safe is the Swirl Killer?

Ekim716

Question

Been seriously thinking about getting a SK kit lately (as soon as I can spare extra cash) my car wont need heavy correcting at all. I've never polished before and want to make sure that my paint will be perfectly safe(no burning clear coat). I know DA polishers are basically the safest to beginners but has anyone that has corrected a vehicle with the SK have any problems in this regard?

About the only way to hurt the paint with a DA is to not use a pad  ;-)

Follow the vids, its easy as can be, and the likely hood of you causing damage is very slim. It is possible but you will probably cause more damage over the years of ownership just driving it. Adams pads and polishes make it easy to perform a great correction with little to no chance of damaging your finish, only making it better.

Be careful going around edges. I believe I've read a story or two on here about people that burned through clear coat while putting pressure on spots like the edge of a hood or door. I could be mistaken though. With a little common sense, the SK is extremely safe.

I have ALWAYS done my cars by hand, but in May, Adam talked me into getting the SK combo. I did. There's no going back now.  They are the easiest things in the world to use.  I'm 70 years old and couldn't use the Porter Cable because of vibrations, but these things are easy, easy, easy to use. I did my daily driver first to try them on .  Once I saw how easy good results were to get, I did the Vette too.  Gave my PC to my son in law.  These are great machines for anyone, beginner or expert.

Get them!

Your poor son in law...he's going to think you don't like him Rich!?!?

I also concur on the swirl killers, so easy to use and easy on the hands and arms with minimal vibrations.
