Swirlkiller 15mm vs 12mm

MBoggan

Question

I am working on getting a polisher. How big a difference is there between the 15mm and the mini 12mm? I am just looking for something to use on my daily driver Camaro to keep it looking good. the $100 difference is a big deal to me but i don't want to go with the 12mm if i will regret it later.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, you will need the big polisher 15MM the smaller polisher is not meant to be used for long periods of time it only made for small areas

Good thing about the big polisher it will help you correct the camaro much faster.

HI Michael,

Great question! The 12mm Mini Swirl Killer is not designed to polish out an entire vehicle. It's made for spot correction of smaller areas where the large machine may not easily reach. It is not designed for prolonged use for entire body panels, but more quick areas like A/B/C pillars, headlights, tight spots around emblems, and so on.

I would say right now if you only have the funds for one machine, go for the 15MM Swirl Killer with the 5.5" pads, as you can usually polish 85% of a vehicle or more with it, then you could pick up the Mini later on down the road.

We should be having another small sale early next week as well to help with a discount on the price.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Respectfully,

Dan@Adams

Get the 15mm. A nice long throw and a big machine is good for doing the whole car. It will save you lots of time compared to using the mini swirl killer. The mini is designed to do small areas where a normal polisher won’t fit.

... How big a difference is there between the 15mm and the mini 12mm?...

I had to take the shoe and sock off of 1 of my feet to figure this out. The answer is 1 big toe and 2 thumbs.

You're welcome.
