I've done...

the dish soap

toss the used soapy water back on the car before the rinse...LOL still makes me laugh

The best is spray down one side of the car with Wheel Cleaner rather than Rinseless! oops

Hey stranger!

When my buddy and I were about 15 we would regularly wash his mom's car (an Olds Firenza) with Spic N Span.

[Drops Mic]

I only did the vinyl roof of my Mom's two tone green LTD 4 door with Spic N Span...

in the mid 80s i armor all'ed the vinyl bench seats on my mom's 1978 dodge diplomat--and the pedals and steering wheel, too!   it seamed like a reasonable thing to do for a not-yet-driver.

that was not well received--but it sure looked good!

I remember doing that kind of thing, too, in my '79 Celica. The first few drives after that "detailing" weres "on full alert" driving adventure to make sure your hands didn't slip off the wheel, your feet off the pedals or your *** off the seat. lol
