Porsche Detail

Wanted to post up a detail I did on this beautiful 2011Porsche GT3 RS this week. As with,most, it had some issues, but the pain was the clear 3M bra that covers the hood, front quarters, lower rear quarters, small panel on roof ! Although great for the customer since it protects the paint, what a pain to try to make perfect because the 3M film retains small scratches. Products used were all Adams ! Strip wash, clay, 2 step paint correction with Flex 3401, coat of Brilliant Glaze, coat of Americana, leather cleaner and conditioner, Total interior detailer, deep wheel cleaner, VRT. Now if he just would leave me the keys for a day !!

The Porsche turned out beautiful! I can't believe all the dirt on the red portion of the steering wheel. How many hours from start/finish?

Thanks for the complement. I used Carpet and Upholstery cleaner, small scrub brush, microfiber towel. To bad the pics were blurry but there was no trace of the grime that was there before.

Sorry I forgot to mention about the plates but Adams use to carry them a while ago and as far as I know not available anymore.

My wife is a personal assistant for a family that has three porsches.  All are black turbo: 911, Panamarea, Cayenne.  I was so excited to watch the car "detail" crew come over to take care of these beasts. OMG I was frozen with fear when I saw the process of "cleaning"...

 

1. Spray wheels with degreaser

2. Wet with pressure washer

3. Dry with chamois and leaf blower

 

Done Next car!!!

 

No soap, no detail spray, nothing!

 

I went out after and cried when I saw all of the swirls in the sun.... I might offer my amateur services to help them out.
