SS LeadFoot
SO I just moved into a new construction home. They are still building all around the area. My question is any advice on how to deal with this? I have already picked up 1 nail in my one car. Any help or advice on different measures to take to help minimize damage/dirt would be great! vobro
I went thru this in 06, I was the 5th house in the subdivision. My best advice is just wait it out, there will be dust, dirt and other airborne particulates until all the grass is in. As far as nails, have a talk with the general contractor and have them control any building debris, I'm a carpenter and this is part of the job these days. When I moved there was no such thing as rinseless wash, not that I probably would use that anyway with all the dirt but it really sucked having heavy dust on the cars at all times. Luckily with it being a new house I kept busy and it took my mind of it. As far as nails, it's gonna happen just be diligent on your area. It's just part of what you deal with on a new house, good luck! Edited July 27, 2017 by vobro
SS LeadFoot
Thanks. I figured I would just plug the tires until the building stops in the neighborhood then new tires. Plus thats a great excuse to get new tires.
Rich
Studded tires? Don't drive? Park outside the development and get a golf cart? Drive a tank? Sweep the street before you drive? Yeah, I know I'm being real helpful. Checo, zapdon and BrianT
