Ceramic Paint Coating & Humidity Level

robfarmer

Question

I'm planning on applying the ceramic paint coating as soon as I take delivery of my new car. I live in Georgia and it can be pretty humid here sometimes. I plan on doing the process in our detached garage and wanted to know if there is an ideal humidity level?

I'm going to avoid doing it with any possibility of rain during the curing process. I may also use a dehumidifier to reduce the humidity while it cures.

Humidity % will affect the 'flash' time of coatings.  Some will take longer, others less time to flash.  I have found in SW Florida that it decreases the flash time with the heat and humidity.  Just can't get away from it...yet.  Going to AC the shop soon!

Good luck, try to pick a day that you guys won't have a high % chance of rain and you will be good to go.

You will LOVE the coating once done, cured and you get to see the benefits of it--gloss, look, feel, and the water/dirt/etc repellency.

Keep us posted.
