Mbrazelton
How does everyone clean their Swirl Killer pads? Also when do people clean them right away, or what to do if you leave them for a couple days or so.
0 Wy_detailing
I clean then with warm water and eco APC. I spray some eco APC into a bucket with some water and let them sit, then rinse them under warm water. If some stuff doesn’t come out I get a hose with a straight stream and blast out anything left. I prefer to wash them ASAP to prevent the compound from drying to much. For microfiber pads I use a medium bristle brush to scrub them out as well
0 Mariner
I’ve cleaned my alternately with APC and MFR. I don’t see a noticeable difference between the 2 chemicals so I stick with APC for cost reasons.
0 Chonke
+3 on APC. I blast some on the pads, then massage the dirt out as much as I can then water them down and wring the pads out. Repeat if necessary. Nathan
0 mc2hill
APC and let them sit for a few hours in a bucket of water. Then scrub them on the Grit Guard to clean, and rinse until the water is clear.
0 TexWalker
I have the grid guard pad washer Adam’s sold a few years back. I love the thing. Spray with APC then I put the pad on a 6” backing plate attached to my drill and give it a whirl! 0 EPHIOS
Use APC and let them soak in to the pads for a couple of minutes. Massage out the solution under running warm water. Squeeze out the excess and let air dry. alexA5
