Chevydude
Just picked up a new car for my wife. I've read of many different ideas as to how to prep to protect. What is the best prescription for protection? What will the ceramic coating provide that other methods won't provide?
2 falcaineer
Congrats on the new car! Your wife is gonna be spoiled! Ultimately, as you'll come to learn, there is no "best" way...what's "best" really comes down to what you're after, as waxes, sealants and coatings all have something to offer. You can even layer products. Suggest you start with this article, if you haven't read it already: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27631-faq-should-i-use-wax-or-sealant-on-my-car/. Here's what I'd suggest as a very high-level order of steps: Strip Wash Clay Polish (if necessary) Seal/Wax/Coat Plenty of good threads on here, so keep reading and asking questions. Great people on here, too, all willing to lend their experiences, so don't be shy! shane@detailedreflections and Chevydude 1
0 ZMAN024
I'm a huge fan of the ceramic paint coating. It offers a layer of protection that can last up to 2 years as long as you maintain it properly. IMO, if you are looking for ease of washing and maintenance, it is hard to beat. Most road grime will just come off with a strong blast from the hose. If you do choose to coat the car, be sure to pick up some Ceramic Boost, and apply it every so often to help prolong the protection. Good luck with the new ride. Whatever method you decide on, you can't go wrong if you choose to use Adams shane@detailedreflections
0 Liralen
Congrats on the new car for the wife! I recommend having her help you decide on what she wants done...based on will it be a daily driver or not. Plus if you bring her into it, she will not have an issue when you want to make another purchase of Adams Polishes Also, ... ...let's see that new car!
