Hi,

Silly question, how do you keep your gallons from leaking from the gallon pump, I used a cue tip to slide in there when not in use.

What do you guys do???

If you back off the cap after use, and then re-tighten, it will release the siphon created by the pump. Then wipe the excess of the tip, and it shouldn't drip while not in use.

I just tip it forward a bit and let it drain off for a few seconds. 
 

Adams really needs to step up the design on the pump nozzles a bit. I feel like these are the worst designed product they sell

We actually don't use the pumps for the gallons except for the thicker product (VRT, Leather Conditioner, etc).  We use the screw on funnels and just pour to refill prior to recapping.  It works for us.

I like to use the pump for my revitalizer, rinse-less wash and shampoo so I can get a consistent measured amount (1oz. per pump). No point using too much product and wasting it. For my other gallons, I use the funnels, they are awesome.

I like the pumps, and I just put a cue tip in the end of them to help stop the leaking.  I find it easy to use when needed verus picking the gallon up.  I might down the road move to a 16oz bottle for the shampoo but for now the pump works.

Do this:

3/8" vinyl vacuum caps.  You can get them at the Auto Parts store, or from Amazon:
