Ceramic coatings

We'e getting ready to purchase a new car. Thinking about getting a ceramic coating on it.  What/if are the benefits from having it done? Do they help with the prevention of stone chips?

A coating will NOT prevent stone chips. They are less maintenance, but still require maintenance. The routine will depend on the coating you choose. 

 

To prevent stone chips, you’d went ppf or paint protection film. 

 

As for advice on a coating, are you having one installed?  Or installing one?

Thanks, found said shop near me that does ppf.  I'm going to talk to them and see what they recommend. If I go this route, I'll probably have the complete hood done so I don't see a line in the middle of it.
