IK Foamer with Iron Remover

Editguy

Question

Can the Iron Remover be applied with the IK foamer? I was going to pick up the regular sprayer for applying Iron Remover because my hand cramps up using the 16oz bottles covering the whole car. I was doing some research online and I saw some dilution rations recommended for use with the IK foamer and it mentioned Iron Removal at  5:1. Anyone have first hand experience foaming Adam's Iron Remover?

You can use the Iron Remover with the IK sprayer, but I don’t think will be as effective if you dilute it.  I believe the dilution ratio you saw is if you use the wheel cleaner as an iron remover.  (And that dilution ratio may have been for the old red wheel cleaner.  Someone else can fact check me on that.)

He's using the IK sprayer in that video. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the Iron Remover in IK foamer.

Yes, you're right, Jen. That dilution was for the older red/pink version of WC. And for what it's worth, that version smells even worse than the blue ???. It also looks like DS at a glance. :willy:

I use the standard pump sprayer with Iron Remover. I don't see a need for the foaming action to be honest. The Iron Remover clings fairly well and provides a long working time to break down ferrous metal contaminants. Be prepared to get gallons of it either way you go. The F350 I just did used almost the entire 35oz sprayer worth of IR.
