Water deionized systems

Hello,

 

I recently purchased a water filter system, the simple chuck. It works great! It leaves no water spots even if I don’t dry or wash in the sun. 

 

I was wondering if it was safe on waxes and sealants. I ask because I clayed the truck, then waxed it. After 2 washes it felt like the wax was gone. Usually the truck feels slick for several months after I wax it.

Yes, deionized water is safe to use on waxes and sealants.  I am not sure why it would seem like the wax is gone.  I have been using a CR Spotless unit (the predecessor to the Simple Chuck) for over 4 years, and have had no issues with it affecting any type of protection.
