Yo-Yo Ma's Cousin
Any thoughts of how to handle the things below? I don't really know what's happening or how to address it. In first picture spot on the hood looks like the clear coat has just failed in that spot. IDK Second picture looks like a combination of rock chips and similar spots to the first picture. 0 falcaineer
An you get a closer pic of the first? The second does look like rock chips to me, too, which would just need some touch up paint.

Also, would you be able to point me to where I can find some good touch up paint? Do I need to also buy some clear to put over the touch up paint? Looks like they’ll just need some touch up paint and touch up clear, normally you can find those at a local auto body or auto paint shop, just make sure you snag the paint code so you can get the right color mix. 0 tlbullet
For the rock chips i would recommend the Langka touch up paint kit (langka.com). Another member mentioned it on forum few months back. You can either buy it with or without touch up paint. One of the kit comes with a clear coat bottle. I watched a few videos and tried it on a few chip i had. Its simple. IMHO it works well. Barely visible to the eye from a few ft away. And it definitely beats respraying the hood! Yo-Yo Ma's Cousin

0 falcaineer
Sorry for delayed answer...I'm still trying to decide between Dr Color Chip and Langka for my car, honestly. We'll see, bit I look forward to hearing from you on your decision and results.
