Agent 009
Has anyone ever tried to use a swirl killer or equivalent to polish a hard floor? If so, what products and pads did you use? I'm in the process of buying a house and was looking to maybe get a tool I can use for some wall sanding, some floor polishing and after all is done, some car polishing. I know what you’re thinking...i’m out of my mind because these three worlds don’t seem like they should overlap. However, I feel like with the right machine, pad and product combo, they can. 67's
I would think with the right you could sand the Sheetrock and polish car with a SK, I used a DA on drywall, now the floor, you might just want to rent a machine to do it correct.
mc2hill
The original Porter Cable polishers were just re-purposed sanders (some of the models even have the adapters for dust removal), so sure, you could do that work with detailing tools. As Tom said, tackling an entire floor might be challenge, but PC-type machine would work fine for edge work. A small orbit machine (PC) would be better than a large orbit machine (SK, Rupes), as there is less movement of the head.
