I have two microfiber sheets sewn together short end to short end and lay that over the car first, before I put my cover on.  Not one scratch.   And in the summer, the sheets cover it in the garage to keep dust off. When it gets dusty.........into the washer.  Do it that way, and you can really buy any cover you want since it's in the garage.

I don't think I have ever seen a micro fiber sheet.

If you're thinking a micro fiber sheet is like a micro fiber towel, it isn't.  It's just a super soft sheet, almost a cross between an undershirt material and fleece.  Very nice.  If you can't find any (you should be able to) just use fleece or flannel sheets.  But either way, it makes a nice barrier between the paint and any seams or scratchy stitching or even dirt on the cover.
