Static build-up

Looking for suggestions.. I have a full fiberglass car (non corvette). Every time I either dry the car or use detail spray and wipe it off the car creates static. Is there a way to avoid this??..Its a race car, and it gets covered in dust just sitting in the trailer from this issue. I have not waxed the car yet, paint is a yr old. was waiting for all the chemicals from the fiberglass and paint to off gas.. Would using butter wax help reduce the static or any other product??...Please give advice..ready, set, Go....

When you rub the vehicle you're creating a static charge. Once the body is charged, it's going to attract dust. Perhaps a grounding strap that contacts the ground?
