  1. Yeah thanks for the reply. It's about time for me to do another full detail and to re-stock on everything. Looking forward to the rest of your progress.
  2. Dylan, I know you haven't gotten around to polishing yet this go-round. For past details, though, I have some questions regarding polishing on a vehicle of this size (large truck/SUV). Let's say you're going to do some "average" polishing for swirls using the green/orange/white pads. Approximately how many of each color pad would you use to keep them from becoming over-saturated with product? Also, how many microfiber towels would you use in this process to remove the polish? Same question for wax removal....how many towels do you go through while waxing?
  3. Wow those coats are gorgeous. I'm sure they are very satisfied with themselves.
  4. Thank you! I try not to compliment her too much....she has a big enough head already.
  5. Big bump. Tia....4 year old Siberian Husky/Chow mix.
  6. Posted these in this thread but thought this might help your thread. Wash/clay/SHR/FMP/wax/etc Tried to get direct sun shots after but it was hard on the side panels (sun was just overhead).
  7. Couple older pics from right after high school graduation and during our senior week road trip. Fell asleep on Clearwater Beach for quite a while. Most recent are from a charity golf tournament for work.
  8. Looks fantastic, great work! I'm going to shoot you a PM shortly about a problem I have. You seem to know your stuff. On another note, that's the first time I've ever seen "The Home Depot"...all the ones around here are just "Home Depot".
  9. Full-time mechanical engineering student. Work full-time at internship and part-time at a golf course to pay for bills.
  10. Yeah next chance I have I'm going to really take a long time on it. Spread it out over several days and get every flaw out. It was a blast getting it dirty, although I couldn't help but worry about how many quarters I'd waste at the self-serve hosing off the undercarriage. Thanks!
  11. Jim, I washed/clayed the night before...that took from roughly 10pm to 4am. It was raining so I had to wait for it to stop before I washed it, which is why I did it so late. Tried to take my time claying--it was a job. For the corrective work, I started around 9am and finished around 4pm. I don't think that 7 hours is too bad, considering I could have taken more time (or more days) and gotten out every single swirl mark. I got out a large majority, though. When I say corrective work I include the swirl/haze remover, fine machine polish, and waxing.
  12. For these swirl marks I used a lot of pressure. Kept the pad from spinning at all. (tried to get a decent sun shot) from here
  13. Yeah I'm working on my skills. Didn't think this was too bad for a male college student. I'm curious about the fruit pizza. Sounds really good.
