Well I was going to order an applicator for my quick sealant but it seems that Adams is sold out! At least I can't seem to find it for the life of me. So what would you guys use instead?

Using detail spray on fresh paint
crazycody93 replied to crazycody93's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I knew that the paint would still be releasing solvents, but I wanted to get an opinion from some of you guys. Now you say he should use waterless wash? All he has is the car shampoo, will that be okay as well? -
Using detail spray on fresh paint
crazycody93 posted a question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
As the title says, I'm wondering how soon you can use detail spray on fresh paint? I have a friend who picked up some detail spray, and his car just came back from paint about a week ago. He is eager to use it, but doesn't want to ruin his paint job he just spent quite a bit of money on. -

How tough is quick sealant say you?
crazycody93 replied to JHL88's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
Quick sealant has been on my list of things to get for a while now, and with new wheels in the mail with a matte finish I had heard this is what you need to use. But I never made it a priority. That's no longer the case! Our winters here in Portland are usually just rain, with temps between 35 and 40, we just had a couple inches of snow about a week ago and with all the salt and de ICER they use, I wasn't keen on it. But thank you for display! I'm very excited to order this now! -

Sealant for Matte finish wheels
crazycody93 posted a question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
So i have a new set of wheels on the way for my pickup, A set of TSW Rockingham's in Flat black. http://www.tsw.com/alloy_wheels_rockingham.php I thought i had read somewhere before about using quick sealant on Matte finish wheels do seal them from the elements. But i cant seem to find it! So i would like to have some confirmation that is what i should order! I was also wondering if that was the case, would the new liquid paint sealant work any better? -

It makes me feel so much better knowing i'm not the only one letting my truck get Filthy! I'll snap a picture of it in the next couple hours to take part! -
Just a friendly but STERN reminder..
crazycody93 replied to JHL88's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
For something so new this is insane! The old pickups don't even have this much of an issue! That will turn into a serious safety issue really quick -

The reason you can put paint thinner on clear coat is because your clear coat is chemically hardened, it doesn't dry like the base coat does. But its always unsettling, in case something goes wrong.

Automotive Sound Deadening, and Thermal Insulation

Funny that you mention that, this search was inspired by the lizard skin my dad has that was left over from a friend of ours, that we used since we had it. So far we're pretty happy with it, but the next project we took a little different approach to that i think will work better then our first trial -

While doing some research on sound deadening for my pickup, I was looking into the brand Second Skin, and found that they're products are made in the USA! Any of the Car audio forums, are usually very pleased with their products, and they have some good information on the products. I figured anyone looking to make their Daily driver that much nicer can look here! http://store.secondskinaudio.com/
