  1. www.fightingchance.com i did better than usaa, true car, edmunds. plus i spent 0 time at the dealer before the deal was made, outside of test drives.
  2. ok, you can give back your weekends off, paid time off, overtime, and the basic 8 hr workday. seriously? you know what else is awful? trolls.
  3. mine is already bowed pretty good and i try to sit more towards the posts. i only use the cart to sit on when i clean wheels and like i said, i try to be careful with it. i am eagerly awaiting the new carts as I was about to purchase one of the large detail carts.
  4. some of you have said this product isnt for what the poster used it on. its billed as a good product for winter weather car folks. yes you should spray it down first but what am i missing? using this process saved me almost an hour. it looked nice but i didnt go over it with a fine tooth come and different lighting conditions to see if i added swirls. i figure i do a correction in the spring anyway, and unless im dragging a nasty piece of grit back and forth i should be ok. is there something im missing here?
  5. quick question on this stuff : for application i used double soft and it worked great. but for drying i wasnt as impressed. would the blue waffle weave be ok for the drying portion of this process? or even a gw towel?
  6. the problem is us. not those of us commenting here personally but us as a country. we are obsessed with falling prices. i see the ads here in IL all the time from that big box nightmare. dont shop at the union grocery store, come here where we employ people who need public assistance to feed their families so you can have a can of soda for 14 cents cheaper than the place that pays its employees. there is a push to buy american and it appears to be gaining mainstream traction. but until we can convince others to pay a little more for a better product craftsman et al will continue to search for ways to make their product cheaper. on a side note, some american manufacturers cut some corners and made a crummy product and for some reason it has tainted alot of domestically produced items. everyone complains about cheap chinese crap but you dont see them buying the alternative. remember that 14 cents adds up. lol. i do my part, i buy american as much as i can even when it costs more and i also encourage others to do so. rant over. ha....thanks to adams, my detailing product shopping got a whole lot easier.
  7. craftsman still makes some tools here. my sockets were made in usa. love them. i bought magnetic holders for them so they fit in my gladiator tool chest. some of that gladiator stuff is made here too. when it comes to tools and my garage i do what i can for made in usa. its difficult and power tools well, youre not gonna find those made here. i keep looking. channel lock makes their pliers and wrenches here but their blue and red grip line is made in china. bosch is made in germany so there is that option for power tools. www.madeinusaforever.com try that out for starters. you just have to be diligent about finding out where the tools are made. i have found most of the products made here try to make a big deal out of "made in usa" so chances are if its not advertised on the packaging, its not. good luck
  8. im doin movember...http://us.movember.com/mospace/8957137 updated pics there.
  9. its not as convenient as the garage but i store my chemicals in the basement. its not like im always needing them in the garage so bringing them up when i need them isnt such a hassle. i use two milk crates. one for PC items and the other for the rest. the gallon refills also sit on a shelf in the basement.
  10. thanks for the response. i understand the reasoning. like i said it was no huge deal. the cap plugs serve no purpose for me after shipping anyway. i just hate foil seals. its change. ill get used to it. so will everyone else.
  11. clean the wheels. i used green wheel cleaner on my chrome wheels. they have videos that are under 10mins to view. i think they recommended using APC on actual chrome but i used the gwc anyway. then i sealed them with quick sealant. then all summer all i had to do to get he shine back was using a combination of adams shampoo and water. i keep it in a sprayer. a few oz of shampoo combined with tap water. i think i used 2-3 oz of shampoo for 36oz of H2O. you dont have to be exact. use the boars hair brush and the combo and youll be good. they sell metal polishes too if you need it. i havent tried them yet as my car is new and didnt require polishing. good luck
  12. just got my gallon of glass cleaner. the new design is nice. however i did not like the foil seal. i much prefer the caplugs. they arent easy to get out sometimes but much easier than foil. i abhor foil seals. but very minor complaint. just giving feedback. i had to buy another milk crate today for my adams products. youre doing something right.
  13. try the QS on the wheels. it takes minutes to apply and it is worth it. youll wish you had done it sooner.
  14. is this necessary after the polish? i didnt do this after i used revive. the next time around im going to use the pc. would i need to ipa with that? i previously just ipa to strip the wax off.
  15. i did think about quick sealing my fence near the bird feeder ( i have a black aluminum fence). but alas i havent done it yet. didnt think of doing the mower but i catch myself thinking of sealing up the weber grill. lol we are all a little off kilter.
