  1. Congrats. Is it just me, or do the front ends of those two cars look eerily similar?
  2. Sorry for bumping a 2 year old thread, but I wanted to point out that it would be super helpful to have photos of the inside of the bag on the retail site (for folks who don't think to search the forums for a 2 year old thread )....
  3. I got a detailing cart for Christmas so I loaded that baby up!! My youngest and I cleaned up the Hot Wheel for Cars & Coffee tomorrow at the Blackhawk Auto Museum. We didn't have as much time as I wanted, so we didn't do the engine bay (which needs some love). I never open the hood at C&C anyway, so no big deal.
  4. I learned about them on a Camaro forum, heard it was great customer service, excellent products that are all made in the USA so I checked it out. After watching the videos and trying a few products, I was hooked.
  5. A bra works for the front end, but not the mirrors or the area at the top of the windshield (depending on the vehicle).
  6. Which polish did you use on the headlights? The work is looking great!
  7. I use the 16oz bottle, as it's the same size as the foam gun canister. I too mix it in the house. At the end of the "session" I pre-mix the bottle for the next time, so it's ready to go. It's the same time spent over all, but it feels better to get into it faster.
  8. I find that using a hair brush works wonders while cleaning with APC.
  9. Are people getting the "lantern" or the hand-held single or dual?
  10. Nicely done. I used the DWC on my dad's newly purchased, used 2000 Corvette, and it worked wonders. I use the GWC for my regularly-washed cars and sometimes even just the shampoo (my wife's mini-cooper seems happy with that). Perfect assessment that Deep Wheel Cleaner is not the routine "go to" product. It fits an excellent niche. As a minor quibble, I'm not sure I would list it as a "CON" that it strips protection. I think that is what it *should* do, much like putting APC in your bucket wash to prep for a full correction. Thanks for taking the time and effort to write this up.
  11. I really don't think you need a tag line, and I would NEVER put a sticker on the paint. *Maybe* on a side window (of my wife's car), so the etched logo is a favorite of mine. Having said that: [Adam's Logo] American Made Shine
  12. As a relatively inexperienced detailer, my advice is: WATCH THE VIDEOS. Then DO IT AGAIN. Then, right before you start: WATCH THE VIDEOS.
  13. Thanks for the update. I am on the other extreme. I love them for certain applications (green wheel cleaner and APC on tires).
  14. I think he's talking about the spray bottle trigger sprayers that create a foam (like use to come with the APC for doing the tires).
  15. It looked like the Mercedes one at the end was a rat-f**k. I don't think that was his car.
  16. Before he left this morning I did the interior with L&I Cleaner, C&U cleaner on the seats, did the glass, used Leather Conditioner on the pleather. .....I also tried to buff out the nasty, intentional key-scratch someone did to the car last night while it was parked. I used the Orange/White pad combo to little effect -- it's going to need repainting. I machine sealed it when I was done. People suck!
  17. A California company has one called Stripper Scent. I think the Leather Conditioner is plenty awesome.
  18. The boy came home for Spring Break, so I worked on my Subi (that's he's driving). I ran out of time, so I still need to do some stuff, but it looks SO much better. When I did the wheel wells it looked like a pound of mud came out. Did the DWC, APC on the wells and tires, vacuumed the interior, cleaned the engine compartment (complete with In n Out), foamed, 2-bucket, DS and Metro-Vac dry, SVRT on tires, wiper "tray" & other plastics. Still need to clean the interior, the upholstery, the carpets, door sills & mats.
  19. The MFR&B really works well. I typically soak all of my towels in an APC solution, agitate them really well and wring them out, and then wash them in MFR&B with an extra rinse cycle. The come out great. The double-softs I'm using for the rinse-less come out looking brand new.
  20. I keep meaning to drive out there sometime. With the weather like it is, it would be a great moto ride.
