  1. Detail Spray (of course) Green Wheel Cleaner Glass Cleaner Car Wash Soap Seriously though, just gimme one of everything!
  2. I've stocked up on the older towels, I have about twenty of them now. I like having more surface space to work with, personally. That being said, however, the new towels are definitely softer, and the microfiber edges are even more paint friendly, which is a bonus in my book. The fact that the towels fold into a smaller square makes it a lot easier for me to hold when buffing and wiping off polish and such, even if it makes me feel like I will have to change the towel sooner. Enjoy guys and gals, it's another new and improved product that is certainly better!
  3. Rich, where the heck do you find this stuff?
  4. Do you mean one of those drop in bed liners? Or like, a Line-X style spray in liner?
  5. This is probably your best bet. At the very least, wash your glass dedicated towels separate from your other towels, as the waxes and polishes that are in your other towels can leech into the glass towels, even after washing them properly. Just a tiny amount of wax residue will leave streaks, and foul up your glass towels forcing you to re-wash them. Use a little APC as well when washing them to ensure they are squeaky clean.
  6. Let it cure for the time they recommended. If anything happens in the way of bubbling or lifting of the paint in between now and then, the body shop will have to fix it. If you mess with the paint between now and then, they can use it against you. You can correct whatever happens in between now and then easily. Congrats on the fresh paint!
  7. Read through THIS thread. There is some great info there.
  8. Use a MF towel to buff the wheels with polish #1, then use another MF towel to apply polish #2. Do a small portion of the wheel like this to test to see if it removes the scratches, I am positive it will. I've used the metal polishes on aluminum wheels like that before with beautiful results.
  9. If the wheels are not clear coated as was asked above, use the metal polish #1 with something a little more aggressive in terms of an applicator, such as an old white T-shirt. This gives the polish a little more bite. Once you have removed the offending residue, follow up with #1 again with a MF towel, then polish #2 to renew that brilliant polished look.
  10. No problem, don't worry the thing is going to shake. My hands itch sometimes after using the thing for a couple hours, LOL.
  11. Haha, that was the best part of the video for me... *SPLAT* Poor little guy didn't have a clue what just ended his life...

    Cop vs Skater

Ugh, idiots like that give the rest of us a lot of grief.
  13. Yeah, I think dirt had just been created a couple years prior, so grass was all the rage!
  14. VRT is water based, and so is harmless to your paint. Do remember that if you apply it to your trim around your windows, the glass cleaner will remove the VRT from the trim! Give the VRT a couple minutes to treat the plastic, that way if you wipe away a little of it with the glass cleaner, you won't have a dull looking spot where the cleaner touched.
  15. If you could please post pictures of the backing so we can examine it for any obvious answers, that would be great. I can assure you that whatever the problem, it will be fixed, but it helps when we can see the failed part so as to hopefully curb any further issues.
  16. Hey there, I have black vinyl stripes on my GT500, and I treat them just like the paint now. I use the PC on it just fine as well, just be careful around corners and make sure not to go AGAINST sharp edges, only off of them. The only thing I have yet to test on the stripes is the orange pad coupled with SHR. I'll be testing it soon to see how the stripes hold up to the more aggressive combo.
  17. If you have a good hand at wet sanding, I have filled in chips like that before with touch up paint, let it cure a week, then I wet sanded it down to blend with the rest of the paint. Works pretty dang well.
  18. My dad's truck had the same problem. I washed the truck, then soaked the spot with GWC, and I then (CAREFULLY) used a straight edge razor to scrape as much as possible off. The rest wipes off easy with the GWC. Let me know if it works!
  19. The MF towel that is yellow with the black stitched border is a metal polishing towel that was never actually offered by Adam's, it was available only on request. I wouldn't use it on your paint, as it is the cheaper kind of MF, it is intended for metal polish.
  20. When we were testing out the new sponges, I thought that it would make a great wax applicator. I did the CD test to ensure that it wouldn't scratch my paint, and have been using it as a buttery wax applicator ever since. I love the MF applicators, but the sponge is a lot easier to hold onto.
  21. Exactly! I can tell you that once you get in touch with Ashley, things will be set right. As was stated previously in this thread, things are hectic at the warehouse with the release of the Americana wax. I personally have ordered a ton of product from them, and never had an order wrong. Don't worry, they will take care of you!
  22. I'd give it a try on a very small portion. It won't HURT the pain, if that is what you are asking, but if you worried it will make it shiny, it would only be temporary. I doubt it will though. Give it a try on a small section, and let us know how it worked!
