  1. Thanks for the help! No more dryer. The old ones will be relegated to the non-paint pile. Will order some new towels soon. Thanks!
  2. Hi, Recently, I received an order of the super plush MF towels and I noticed how much softer they were compared to my old ones. Has the towel manufacture changed over time or are the old towels past their prime? The older blue MF towels arrived in March '09 and the new blue MF towels arrived in Sept '09. The towels are washed after every use (gentle, cold, Woolite). I just started hang drying them, but before it was dryer on low with no dryer sheet. Do the older towels need to be boiled or should they just be replaced? The photos are from left to right, newest (9/09) to oldest (3/09), with corresponding closeups. Thanks, Ed
  3. Unfortunately I'm leaving town on Monday for three weeks, so I'm going to have to go get some clay bar from a local shop this weekend. I have the SHR and will try that after using the clay bar. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try that unless other detail advisers have a better idea.
  4. Yea, I think was able to get some of it off the paint. I was able to remove it from the glass with a razor and from the plastic trim using the wash pad. There was some on another part of the hood, but it wasn't as much.
  5. Painted? Lots of pollen got on the car since I washed it this morning. The drip is that one big spot.
  6. I need to get the clay bar and a PC. Just haven't had time do to that yet. I have the SHR. Should I try that by hand? Or clay bar first and then SHR? I don't think a PC can reach that spot. Would a better picture help?
  7. Hi, I parked in a hotel parking garage for a few days and something dripped onto the car. I was able to get most of it off the car, but I can't seem to remove this part. Whatever this stuff is, it's hard to get out. I had it on the plastic which took some elbow grease, but I got it out. I had to use a razor blade to remove this stuff from the glass. I don't know what to do about the drips on the paint itself. Any thoughts? Thanks, Ed
  8. Yea, a sharpie would be much more economical. Do you write it on the cloth itself or the edge?
  9. I'm still an Adam's newbie, but I ordered the original 16x24 microfiber towels and I recently received the new 16x16 microfiber towels. I noticed the new 16x16 microfiber towels have a blue border/edge instead of the black border/edge on the 16x24 towels. I was wondering what if you could order the microfiber towels with different color borders/edges. That way, you could have some just for the glass, paint, wheels, interior, etc... This way when you wash them, you can still keep track of what towel should be used where. Good idea? Bad idea? Thoughts?
