My truck is new here. Say hello truck... .... ..... hmmm. She’s shy. Ive been here since 2008 but somewhere in 2013 I removed my account cos of #drama. (Formerly KickToTheJunk) here’s my latest. I’ve had it for almost a month. WEATHER has sucked so no polishing as of yet. It’s coming tho.

I spent 22 hours perfecting a Ram 1500 I bought back in 2013. It sat on the lot (when $48k trucks weren't selling) for a few months and those lot boys with the pressure washers and floor mop brushes.... New doesn't mean perfect. No longer have it but....here's photos after polish then after debadge.

I use certain Adams products on my guitars... Did a set up on the Shuriken today.

I use Garry Dean's method too... but I was doing it years before I saw him. Lol. I toss 6 fresh MF in a bucket of soap and keep another bucket of water handy to toss "spent" MF wash towels in. I always go around the bottom first so I can get the risk of touching the nasty bottom with an upper section towel. I find 6 towels does a whole car without having to rinse or reuse a towel. Just use it on a panel or 2, toss it in the water bucket and grab a fresh one from the soap bucket.

I had them on the 13' Charger Daytona I had. I used an old blue clay bar from Adams and it went fine. The blue was softer and less aggressive than the grey clay. I kept it HEAVILLY lubricated. These were factory installed... the whole roof was black vinyl too. I dressed it with VRT and knocked it down with a dry MF. Maybe the newer Matte Detailer would be a better option? Photo is the only one I have with the hood down. Forgive my self-made meme. Lol

I'm an old dog who returned to Adam's - I still have my PC7424XP and the FLEX with a rack full of freshly new Adam's polishing pads from each generation. (I'd stock up when new Gen pads came out and Adam reduced old pads to ridiculous sale prices). Will any of the newer polishing pads you guys have work with the FLEX (with a different backing plate?) or PC. I'm guessing the 4" pads work fine with the PC using the old focus pad setup? Just trying to figure out what I need to buy to be up to speed on my equipment. Thanks in advance for the advice.

I've been an Adam's user since 2008 and have watched Adam grow to become the best in the business. I can say that at one time, I literally had every product Adam sold and some products I had multiples of. I've used Adam's on my mid-life crisis cars and even reeled in a local guy named Len who lives up the street from me - met him on HERE asking questions. He became an Adam's dealer and opened up a detail shop. We've been friends ever since and share other interests (both musicians and music gear-heads). I've used Adam's on my 2002 Corvette, 2011 Camaro, 2007 Mustang, 2011 Grand Sport 3LT, 2013 Charger RT Daytona (Daytona Blue Pearlcoat), 2012 Chrysler 300, 2013 Ram 1500 QC BH, 2012 Silverado WT, 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, 2015 Ford Transit Connect Cargo and continue to use his products on my current stable: 2015 Chrysler 300C Platinum (wife's) 2003 Chevy Express 1500 (business van) and my newest purchase - 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring (replaced the Transit Connect). Never doubt Adams products. Never. H2O GnG is another home run in my books. Just wish it wasn't $80 a gallon.

My early Adams setup. About 5 years ago. Bought a house with metal cabs in the garage. Cabs came from an old time parts store. Have a bunch of those engine belt hanger racks too. Lol. More blurry pic is a reflection of my Adams cabs in the door of my former 2011 Camaro. (6 cars ago lol).The cabs were blue and I painted them black and white to fit an Adams theme. I've added a Master blaster, Flex, detail seat, electric pressure washer (sams), another bookshelf for gallons, a wall hanging vacuum. No photos now cos it's all over the place. I have 2 garages, one on the house... Where washing and drying happens and a 2 car oversize detached garage in the back where the polishing and other fine tuning happens.

Congrats on the addition. My only daughter made me a grandfather a couple months ago.

I'm with Chewy. DWC in spring or after some heavy race braking... I seal my wheels with 3 coats of sealant (non-Adams) and the brake dust from my Corvette Grand Sport (6 piston oem pads front, 4 piston oem pads rear) just rinses off. I use Green Wheel cleaner the rest of the season, Anyone who had a c6 corvette Grand Sport, Z06 or Zr1 knows the stock pads are downright aweful for dusting. Hope you have better results with applying to a cool dry wheel. I've found that I save this stuff for my higher end wheels and use GWC on the wife Chrysler 300 base and APC on my cargo van. Please let us know if you have better results next time.

I use my old PC for BG, Machine Super Wax/Machine Sealant/Liquid Paint Sealant or whatever it's called this month lol. Unsure about the new sealant, but the prior 2 seemed to break down better with a machine (like PC) application... Speed of 2, no pressure and an overlapping pass pattern in both directions (North South / East West). With older product that I have, 3 pea-sized drops on the pad (spread out) was more than enough to do the whole hood. A light spritz of DS in between sections helped loosen up the product in the pad affected by the friction-heat. With older sealant, less is more. The thinner you can apply it, the better. Then allow 20 min. Cure time (30-40 in colder temps like under 65F) dont have a cyclo, can't comment.

I started out looking for a way to properly take care of a 2002 Corvette Comvertible. I had never owned such a nice car and to me it was a pat on the back to myself for reaching that goal in my life. That was in 2009. The PC7424XP was a fine machine to cut my teeth on and at the time was the sole machine offered by Adams. Fast forward 3 years and about 25 details/paint corrections. I buy a Flex 3401vrg from Adam. 15 hour polishing sessions turned into 8 hour polishing sessions. That was money well spent. Fast forward to this year. I used the FLeX with the 7" MF pads and the new paint correction/finishing Polish combo. Holy... 8 hour polish sessions turned into 4 hour polish sessions. I couldn't wait to do my wife's black swirled up 300. (I let it get bad hoping she would trade that 2012 for a 2014). Oh well. If I had to still use the PC polisher, I doubt I'd be polishing much. Way too labor intensive. While it's safe, it's a time killer and can make you not want to do it after spending 1 hour on your hood alone. Also, don't think the MF Polish pads work with the PC. Get a flex and the MF pads. If you don't like em, sell em or see if Adams will refund you. (Sorry Adam). I have seen used flex polishers bring close to asking retail price. The money you save doing your own paint correction vs. paying a pro... Worth trying it. Professionals will charge $300-400 for a paint correction. That's what I used to charge... I've dropped it to $200-250 since my labor time decreased so much with such a great polishing system that Adam has built for us. Just my nickels worth.

Dear Abby, So, in short... If I got this straight (and I've had this product since its release).... On dirty or dried out interior surfaces (except any screens, plastic lenses, gauge lens...etc), use L&IC first. Then use TID or Leather Conditioner as you wish. I.e. Use Leather conditioner on leather, vinyl surfaces and TID on plastic panels Or, use L Conditioner on all surfaces (no lenses and screens)... Then use TID for in-between touch ups? Or should this not go where L. conditioner has been used... And I should use L&IC before using TID? Thanks In advance Abby, -Confused in Alabama This is the ONE product I've been confused on in 5+ years of using Adam's.

Thanks all... Polished the lemon up.. Blinding. Holy.... Then did the wife's BLACK 300. I purposely let her car get swirled fior a year cos I eanted her to let me trade it and get her a new car... Hers is a 2012. But she did THIS to the engine bay....so, she won't let it go. Artwork design by my wife, work done by Impatient Creations in Alabaster, AL. The MF Polish pads on the Flex are the absolute bomb. Made light work out of her horridly swirled car.

I've found American Appearal shirts are nice. I have my tshirthell shirts made with those. Comfy and nice fit. I'm about 20lbs overweight... 6'2" and 230#. XL fits nice and doesn't fit the dog after a few washes.

I used to be KickToTheJunk aka Bob. I left Adams awhile back for personal reasons. Bought a 2011 Corvette Grand Sport 3LT this past Friday. Just finished paint correction and machine super sealant. Tomorrow, Americana. Just letting the old dogs know I'm back around.

I use a large tower-style kerosene model. (Have 2 for when it's real cold). Lowes, 129$. Works well.
