Waterless Car Wash
RedDragon777 replied to TR6speed's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
What i do is i use my drying MF towel to wipe off all the WCW and then after i see most of the water beads gone i come back with a normal MF to buff it out and it comes out great. But when i wipe it down with just the drying towel, yes it does leave streaks and some film. -

Dear god this product is awesome, I really wish this came with the sample kit i bought. I ended up just buying the bottle by itself but i need to buy the whole adams kit. One drawback though is my microfibers SUCK, so i need to invest in a whole new set from Adams. -

Hmm i will try it but i need to cover everything first, i think what got wet last time was the computer connections and the coil packs so i will cover alll those and use a light pressure. Thanks everyone. -
New Detail Bag idea
RedDragon777 replied to justinN1_C5's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
I would not mind paying $100-200 for a bag like that, i would love it for car shows where i can not have stuff rolling around in my trunk or when i want to wash my friends car and i have to go to his house, or even just around the house to make sure i know where my stuff is LOL -
I own a 2006 Mustang GT with Chrimson leather and i have not tried cleaning my seats because these seats are known for bleeding the crimson red off the leather. I just wanted to know if anyone has had problems cleaning their colored leather with Adams products or any other products.

Cordless random orbital polisher
RedDragon777 replied to b_pappy's question in Paint Correction & Polishing
Yeah for what you need it to do i do not even think the the new 20+ volt batteries will help with battery life and power. Plus with the price right now for a corded PC to have a Cordless model your looking at Alot more. -
Mustang Engine Bay
RedDragon777 replied to RedDragon777's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
i think i will just use the mist setting on my current nozzle and cover all the electrical, i think if i just get the paint wet i can scrub it down, i am just afraid of the car resetting again. Either that or just go in their with a spray bottle filled with water and hit just the areas i need. -
here are some more pics, i should be getting some pro pics taken some time later this month so i will post up those later

Yeah I live in the RGV, i am about 20 min from Harlingen and 30min from mcallen, times depend on which vehicle i drive, if i am in the mustang times will be less:burnout:

Mustang Engine Bay

hey bob we have close to the same car, mine is a 2006 Mustang GT. Nice Shelby GT by the way, i almost bought one. So you just lightly hose down the engine? Sacres me but i think i need to do that because the engine is really getting neglected. What kind of nozzle do you use on the hose or do you use un pressureized water. Charles nice choice for the color on that GT500, i have a friend that owns a KR and the color is awesome but i do wish it had black stripes instead of blue. So do you think foil will help keep some of the water out. -

Hello, I am new here but i am no stranger to car detailing. I have used everything from Meguires to Zymol, to Lucas oil detailers and Zaino. What i am having problems with is spider webbing and the engine bay. The webbing and light scratches i know i need to buff all that out, but the engine bay is what scares me. I have heard horror stories of water getting into the electronics and messing stuff up. I had a problem once where i was at a car show and it was raining lightly and i did not get a chance to close the hood and the car RESET. I mean everything on the car was blinking and shut down then on the second or third try of me starting the car, it started but i lost everything, my radio settings and the tune i put in the car. So now i am afraid of washing the engine bay. Also i have a Cold Air Intake so that makes it even worse. I want to know what you guys think i should do, what is the best way to clean my engine bay. [[Edit: I just noticed the Engine Bay section so could a mod please move this thread there, Thank you]]
