  1. Some of these scratches look pretty deep. Can you feel them with your finger nail? Also were you using the polish or the compound?
  2. Do you have any close up pictures? You could try uping the speed with just the polish before going more aggressive.
  3. It depends on how long VRT has been on the tires. I usually wipe my tires down with a Mothers wheel brush that I have lingering around and soap and water if I do a 2 bucket wash. Then when the tire shine looks like it is time for reapplication then I use APC to fully clean the tires and follow up with the new tire shine. I have had success doing this. I let the product remove itself instead of me forcing it off every wash. Hopefully all this makes sense.
  4. Welcome. Two nice cars you have there.
  5. Well I use 4" pads on my PC7424XP to apply a wax or sealant. The only time I use more wax is when I first apply it to the pad. I use a small X and use the "kiss the finish" method onto the panel I'm working on and then spread the wax out on a speed between 3-4. You can google that and see what I mean by that. After that I apply a dime sized drop on the pad and work panel by panel. I will also press the pad onto the panel to get some of the excess wax out after a couple panels as there is plenty of wax in the foam pad. I do this all around the car.
  6. In between tire shine application I will use a wheel brush with soap and water. Once the tire shine is completely reomved I scrub them with APC and reappy new tire shine.
  7. Nice job. Reminds me that I need to detail my brothers Harley v rod.
  8. Both sizes are great but it's hard to beat the mini for the price and quantity.
  9. I bought one. They have coupons available once in awhile for $20.
  10. Looks good. Hopefully you tossed that clay bar after you dropped it.
  11. Check out around 2:15 of this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gD80hqf9v2g
  12. Liking the new shipping. I'm in CA and I placed an order on 7/26. Delivered on 7/29. 2 day shipping is great. Props to Adam's for making this happen.
  13. Nice work. The paint just needs a little TLC. Seems you are doing just that. The headlights look great.
  14. Nice job. That blue is really popping with Americana.
  15. It might not. I had another sealant on my wheels and green wheel cleaner took it right off. So maybe quick sealant is more durable.
  16. I lightly buff all trim after a few min after applying SVRT.
  17. By the way nice to see you over here. I have seen your car over on ls1tech.
  18. They will strip wax. Use them before you start polishing and afterwards all you need is soap and water to keep them clean. Yeah it works. I have both and I wash mine after each use. I use them to polish out my wheels that are painted. This should give you an idea of the results. I have both a mini power ball for the face and a cone for between the spokes. I used a compound on the ball and cone and polished by hand as the power ball was not dry by the time I needed it for polishing. Before (don't mind the ding in the wheel) After
  19. ^^^This. But I am going to have to recommend using a non Adam's product in the Mothers mini power ball or power cone as your tool of choice with the Adam's polish and or compound. Agree with this as well.
