The spray coatings are easier to use. It could be a good start getting into a ceramic.

So you have a couple options. Would you prefer the traditional coating application or the spray coating application. Either product can be applied over PPF and on chrome.

It comes down to the user when it comes to polishing. The ceramic spray is more forgiving. You may not get the longevity but it is easily applied.

You will have to polish to remove the defects which will remove the coating. Try a test spot with a polish and polishing pad. Possibly one step with a polishing pad. Panel wipe and then reapply the coating. Been there with the bodyshop and it is not fun to correct. Perhaps try the new advanced version.

Since you don't know what exactly is on the surface then why not completely start over and put the protection you want. Claying a coating from my experience since 2010 will induce marring and degrade the coating regardless of the abrasiveness of the clay bar. Marring is only removed by the act of polishing.

If it is the actual coating then no that will not work. If it is a liquid or a wax type then yes that will work.

It is possible it may strip off the old sealant but if you do have water spots it won't strip them off. You will more than likely have to polish them off prior to applying a new layer of your favorite form of protection.

You will be just fine. Used it on matte wheels and there was no added shine. Like all coatings they will give the matte finish a richer look.

I have not used it in so long but simply avoid coming close to the trim. I have never taped off trim when applying any protection products in over 20 years of doing this. With regards to hand polishing get those shoulders stretched out and prepare for them to be sore. There is no substitute for a machine.

It ay need more than APC to determine if the coating is not just clogged. Durability is different for everyone. If you are happy with the current version then keep using it.

There is no way to tell if it is ceramic coated or not just by looking at it. It could have had a fresh sealant, ceramic sealant, etc... You will not know.

Keep using the graphene shampoo on your ceramic or graphene coating. It has better cleaner power and it rinses much easier than the blue version.

You can either use something like rinse and coat while the wheels are on or you can top them with the advanced graphene spray coating when the wheels are off.

1. The temperature and humidity are going to dictate the flash time. You will have to figure that out. Apply to a certain area and time it. The coating rainbows so when it starting to dissipate that is when you want to get it off. Longer than that and it will be more difficult to remove. 2. Wash, dry, panel wipe and apply the coating. 3. Yes. You want to use a soap that contains no wax, ceramic or gloss enhancers. The coating will give it a more rich appearance. It will darken it but make it look richer but not glossy. Here is a set of matte wheels to give you an idea. The enrichen look will last a long time. Hard to say exactly how long as the climate is different for everyone. The coating needs 24 hours to cure. After that you can drive it. I prefer low nap pile microfiber towels. I use 300gsm edgless towel from a well known towel company. I find them to work better than a suede towel and super plush towel. Again personal preference. The coating can get wet after 24 hours.

Unfortunately there is no set number of times a vehicle can be polished. A paint gauge does help to understand the amount of material is left on the paint. With that being said you should be fine polishing again without removing too much paint.
