Hmmm... Prolly pick up a Nano instead, since the TA50 is not supposed to be used as a polisher... -
POWER vs. CONSUMPTION - why bigger isn't always better
oldfordisbetter replied to Dylan@RUPES's question in Paint Correction & Polishing
Awesome! Glad I dont need to buy different brushes for the different tools. And do the same brushes fit the Mini? I think they do, not sure? I also picked up a used 3" pneumatic with the 15mm throw. Thats a sweet little tool! My only problem is I cant blow out my pads with air if im hooked up to the machine. -

Winter Washing Video
oldfordisbetter replied to Joe@Adams's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I really liked the video. Adam is a great "actor". The only thing I would disagree with is at the end of the video he says about your car getting scratched if you dont wash it during the winter. Other than that, nice simple approach with great results. -

Looks like one bottle is missing a plug! -
I have never seen anything like that. But I guess I have to take your word on it.
-
Interesting. Because I had tires that looked the same as yours (if not worse). It could be different tire reacts different? But if the problem arises again, do like I said earlier, dont spray it on the tire and agitate like you would APC. I would be surprised if that didnt work for you.
-
Dave, so you tried Tarminator and it didnt take off the brown, correct? If so, I believe the problem was you used a brush, I would spray Tarminator on a dry tire and wipe off with a microfiber.
-
Get some Stoners Tarminator (or similar) and spray a little on the tire while it is dry. Then wipe it off with a cheap microfiber: you may have to wipe fairly hard: also the microfiber will be junk, so use a cheap one. I believe mineral spirits will also work, but I never used that. I have used tarminator and it easily removed that brown junk that your tires have. In fact, my case was a good bit worse than yours. You should be able to buy Stoners locally.

Using soap for clay lube- Bad for clay?
oldfordisbetter replied to Junior's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
Not trying to beat a dead horse. No one said DS doesnt work great as clay lube. Im sure its works as good as anything. It just is not cost effective enough for some guys. Me for example, I work on a lot of trucks and will sometimes blow through 32 oz to get it all done. Do a couple a week and those $5 bottles DO get expensive. No offense to anyone. I"ll zip it now. Two questions: is 5 gallons of DS eligible for sales? (15% off etc) And what would the "expiration date" be on something like that? -
Using soap for clay lube- Bad for clay?
oldfordisbetter replied to Junior's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
I agree with the others. Diluted rinseless is what I had used. Started using soapy water and really like that. Thats what works best for me and my situation. But lets be honest, $40 a gallon for rtu clay lube is plain ridiculous. -
How do you know that they are not just dirty? Thats what it looks like to me
