  1. Thought the only thing it that removed it was light polishing
  2. No the weights will not stick to the wheel properly after they are coated. if that's the case, it basically means you have strip the coating every time you get new tires? hmmm
  3. I am getting a new set of wheels and I want to coat them. I was just wondering if it ok to coat them before having the tires put on them? 1. Will the tire weights stick properly to the ceramic coated wheel? 2. Can the instillation of the tire cause scratching to the coating. Thanks, JC
  4. Thanks everyone. Its my baby. Planned on being buried in it someday lol
  5. I couldn't be 100% sure it was a high spot or a missed spot so I played it safe and polished it.
  6. Can report back that this worked perfect. Taped off an area larger than the spot and took a finishing polish with a white pad to it. Reapplied the coating after cleaning and it worked flawlessly.
  7. Recommendation was to do a very light correction in that area. Then re-prep and coat it. I will tape of the area and do a small 3x3 section with light correction
  8. Posted this in LSP forum but 2 conflicting responses. Just wondering if anyone has an idea on how to proceed. ------------------ Hey all, I took Friday off to make a weekend therapy session with the car. =) I applied the ceramic coating and it looks amazing. I will post up pics soon. I have a question though. After it cured it looked like I had 2-3 small spots where the color was different. By small I mean maybe 2x2". I am assuming I somehow missed these spots when cross hatching or didnt wipe it enough? What are my options. Can I simply clean those spots and just reapply coating? Or do I need to do full correction (hoping not). Thanks

  10. same result here with master blaster and having to follow up with a towel. Hoping once I get ceramic coating it will sheath off much easier with the MB
  11. Can I get more info? Googled mini sk and all that comes up is a site with women wearing mini skirts... not that thats a bad thing. But I am looking for a small polisher.
  12. Another follow up. What If I have vinyl decals on the paint. Is it ok to ceramic coat over them?
  13. It is smooth.. Like Lexan. That was my thought as well but would like to get Adams take if possible since these conflict.
  14. I don't believe its painted but I will double check. I think the backing is black and the plastic is clear giving it the illusion its painted black.
  15. Hello, Sorry for all the ceramic questions but I just want to get a better understanding of it. I was wondering if you can ceramic coat harder plastic (and which you would use). The rear brake and valence on my car is all hard formed plastic (clear with a dark background to make it look black). It would be similar to the kind of plastic head lights are made of. The question is a. Should you coat it at all? b. If so would you use Trim or Paint coating given it is much harder than the soft plastic on regular trim? Thanks!
  16. I do use a product called road wrap which is basiclly like see through clear bra The rubber still gets flub up onto areas not covered though and certainly inside the wheel wells. My thought was using the trim on the inside wheel well plastic as well
  17. So a follow up question. The main reason I am wanting this is I take my car to the drag strip a lot. I do a lot of burn outs. My back quarter is part black plastic and part painted. As you can imagine, I get a lot of burnt rubber thrown up along with track VHT (the sticky stuff they spray). It is a pain to clean off and in most cases only wd-40 works. If I use the coating will it help with keeping that stuff from sticking. I know its hydrophobic but is it rubberphobic as well lol?
  18. I would like to ceramic coat my plastic trim particularly the back where it sees quite a beating at the track. I already purchased the paint ceramic coat and was wondering what the difference is between that and the trim coating? Can i use the regular coating on my trim as well or is that a bad idea. Im just kinda low on cash and didnt want to get the trim coat if it wasnt any different. Thanks
  19. Awesome, thats what I was hoping. Thanks!
