  1. Do the discount codes work for eBay purchases? for example "shineon"
  2. I fix rich people's airplanes, Airframe and powerplNt mechanic at this time, trying to get back into management. And retired coast guard.
  3. This one is a tough choice for me and it comes down to personal wants and needs. So......... I was searching on craigslist for a Rupes mini and found a new one in CA and I live in PA (google "craigslist rupes") I emailed the person and asked if he would be will to ship the Mini. At first he said no but a 2 hours later he changed his mind and I had a Mini being shipped to me for $200 New without a box. Now the guy just sold me a Rupes 21 MKII for a very good price. So now I have to decide to keep the Cyclo or the Rupes, I don't need both. I drive a 2015 GMC Sierra Irdium color and just finished doing a paint finishing polishing on it(I had little to no marks on the truck to begin with). Now my wifes vehicle is a 2010 4Runner and the previous owner didn't do anything to take care of it for the first and half year they owned it. Since she bought the truck 4.5 years ago, i have been trying to keep it looking nice. So last year I got a deal on a Cyclo, from Adams forum for a good deal. I was able to clean her truck up a lot but did not have any microfiber pads. Was planning on buying some soon and doing the wife vehicle again soon. So now I have to decide what to do..... I'm not a pro just an average home DIY'er. I know both machines have there pros and cons. I do have several questions on the Rupes 21. Is there a chance of burning the paint/clearcoat? and what about wearing paint on the edges. Thanks Josh
  4. Well thanks for the info, I guess I will just save my money and spend it else where.
  5. I know Adam's doesn't stock them anymore but what was the description of them on Adam's website, if anyone remembers? I know you use them after the orange foam pads and before the withe foam pads, because they have a little more cutting power than just the plain white ones. I found some to buy but trying to figure out if I really need them. Thanks Josh
  6. I have a Cyclo polisher and I love it, plus its made in USA. I got a good deal on it, so I couldn't pass it up. Now I'm on the hunt for a good deal on a Rupes mini, so I can get in to smaller areas. The Rupes mini uses the same pads as the Cyclo, so thats a business for me.
  7. If anyone is looking for a away to get salt off the undercarriage of their ride, just use a water sprinkler that shots upward to spray the underside. The old style that your dad used to use to water the lawn. Just move it around to get all sections of the undercarriage. Josh
  8. My snapon and Mac guy don't care, I asked about a military discount. I tried every angle I could, I just trying to be a cheap a$$ on buying a new tool box. I found some tool boxes on strictlytoolboxes.com but I like that fact that and warranty issues that they do show up to my work place.
  9. I have checked eBay and craigslist and people think they have gold, because of their prices or there box is beat up a little bit and still want silver prices. Pirahnah3: I have family in laws on the Cape and looking to go this summer. Thanks for the offer.
  10. Anyone have any connections with a Snapon on man or Mac Tool guy? I need a new toolbox for work and looking for a deal? Looking for someone in the DE, PA, or NJ area, I live 45 minutes west of Philly. My local Snapon guy has a toolbox he will sale me for 5500 but I don't want to pay his high prices. Just looking for a deal. I know some people will say there boxes are to expensive but I make a living working on airplanes and I need a bigger box. Thanks Josh
  11. Let's go Panthers!!!!!
  12. Im in southeast PA. 45 minutes west of philly. I know there is at least a foot or more on the ground. I have shovel once already and said screw it i'm going to go and have some "refreshments"
  13. I think detailing my truck is out of the question for a little while...... Also, my wife likes the smell of Adam's products.
  14. I was looking for 5 containers or so. I will look into the ice cream containers.
  15. mc2hill, Ashley at Adams said she would send some awhile back and never did. I asked her again after the SEMA show and she would have some sent again and it never happened again. So I figured I would ask again in the forum.
  16. Do you have an empty clay bar container you want to give away? If so, let me know. I need some for my toolbox at work. They are the right height for the drawer they will go into. I would be willing to pay for shipping if its not an arm and a leg. Thanks Josh
  17. Its on sale right now and I don't have much time to decide. I use paint sealant for my vehicles and brilliant glaze. Im prepping for winter to be over with so I can detail both cars. My truck is getting the full gama of detail - wash, clay, correction polish, finish polish, brilliant glaze and then paint sealant.
  18. Anyone using them? if so which one do you have? I'm looking at buying the Kdlinks X1, but want to see what other people are using. Thanks Josh
  19. I sent a sample to purewaterproducts.com http://www.purewaterproducts.com/in-house-water-testing Water source: Tap water What are the referring to in hardness? idk, Thats what they emailed me
  20. I sent a sample of my water to company to have it test and below are my results. I did this because I want better water for car washing. I bought 2 water filters systems, one to hold a basic cotton filter and the other to hold a carbon filter. Then after those 2 filters I'm getting a deionizer tank from Griots. Is this to much filtering? Turbidity- 2 ftu pH- over-range Iron- .04 ppm Hardness- 8 ftu TDS- 192 ppm
  21. Anyone have any empty clay bar containers laying around not being used? I need a couple for my tool box at work, they are the right height for one of my drawers. If you have a couple and are willing to part with them for free, let me know. I will pay for shipping. I have no problem them being shipped media mail, its the cheapest and the slowest. Thanks Josh
