  1. The snow is finally retreating here and i was able to get the goods out in full force. Put an Adams beat down on my truck today. Strip wash, paint correction and polish, LPS topped with glaze and buttery, then VRT on on the tires and trim an finished up with the total interior detailer on the interior. Bonus, Fedex guy delivered my beanie and brilliant glaze flash sale purchase midway through. Could have used the beanie when i started out this morning, but thought it was great that they brought it on Sunday. Anyway, heres the final results, didnt get many before pics, but Adams polishes did an amazing job IMO.
  2. Sorry for the really bad pics, but this is what i have done with a DA and some Adams paint correcting polish tonight (the first step in the two step process) on a very swirled tailgate off a black 2011 Silverado. Yes a tailgate. Truck wont fit in the garage, and i got impatient waiting on the weather, so i dropped the gate and brought it in. This was my first time using any kind of machine polisher and only a couple of passes. Hope you can tell the difference, and maybe it will help in this dicussion. Also, the people that work at Adams are top notch, and i have been nothing but impressed with every product i've been able to try since my first purcase a couple months ago. Before After
  3. Thank you for sharing the link to your write up! When / if it warms up here, I am going to tackle correcting the paint on my black silverado that looks a lot like your before pics. I also have the HF DA polisher, and was wondering if you changed the backing plate like Ricky Bobby suggested, or if you used the stock one? BTW, truck looks frickin' sweet in those pics.
  4. Used brilliant glaze for the first time tonight, i want that as an air freshener! My wife asked if i would put some in her car as a matter of fact. Something that smells like detail spray would be sweet too.
  5. I ordered one to mess around with as i have never done a machine polish, but i went with adams pads. Got it friday, but the weather isnt cooperating so i havent gotten to really test it out yet. I am about to get desperate enough to drop the tailgate on my truck and do some testing with it in the garage though. Seems to be a solid tool, not anything to write home to mom about, but serviceable. Its loud, but not abnoxiously loud. Think i got it for around $45 after coupons, so if its junk, or i really suck at machine polishing, i aint out much. If i give in and do some work on the tailgate, i'll let you know how it goes. Having said that, i'm sure it is not in the same universe as the cyclo or flex and will be owning one of those someday...
