  1. Are you guys still scheduled to be at Carlisle this weekend? You’re the main reason I’m going.
  2. This is my first black car and man am I glad I found Adam's to keep it looking good. I used the ceramic spray coating and I use the CS3 in between washes. I haven't tried the ceramic boost yet, guess that's more money spent! 🤑
  3. Another question, once you have your car shining with a coat of Brilliant glaze and a coat of Americana wax, when you want to refresh it, do you just apply another coat of Americana? Is that what you want to keep doing, in other words, does it matter as far as what you layer on top of it?
  4. I represented Adam's well at NMRA at Maple Grove Raceway. My first car show and I got a special recognition award. The Americana wax had my 95 F150 shining! Thanks for the advice guys, can't wait to see Adam's at Carlisle!
  5. Thanks for all the advice, I'm so pumped that you guys will be there this year! Looks like I'm going to order that Americana wax kit that comes with the brilliant glaze. Thanks again!
  6. I apologize if this has been asked before, I couldn't find a thread. My question is, I would like to get my truck ready for a car show, I've never entered a vehicle in a show so I'm new at this. My truck is a 95 F150 with several paint defects, but overall looks pretty good for a 21 year old truck that was kept in a barn. My plan was to clay, then use the paint correcting polish and after that paint finishing polish. Should I then follow up with the Americana wax? Will that give me the shine I'm after? Also, is it OK to then maintain that with the Guard and Gloss? My big question is, am i defeating the purpose of some products by using other products on top fo them. I know, a lot to answer here, thanks for your help. Also, I'm talking about Ford Nationals at Carlisle, I'm really hoping Adam's is going to be there this year!
  7. After seeing the posts here I believe I'm making a few mistakes, I work on a much larger area, like one quarter panel or one door, etc. I also did one whole side of the truck before wiping off. It was difficult getting it off even with detail spray.
  8. Here you go Chris, read your bio, my hat's off to you as a coal miner, I have nothing but respect for you guys. I'm from PA and we go to a friends house near Rowlesburg, WV, love it there! Thanks for your help!
  9. Same here, I try to add a picture and it shows in the upload section, but never uploads. I've tried it numerous times.
  10. I'm using Adam's pads, started with the orange microfiber then on to the orange foam. I went to wipe off the paint correcting polish and had a really difficult time. I need to wipe that off before going on to the finishing polish, right? I must add, weather conditions were horrible, Central Pennsylvania and the humidity was in the tropical zone. I was in my garage though so the truck was cool to the touch. When I watch the videos, he puts on 4 lines of product and I was not even putting on that much.
  11. I used the paint correcting polish and paint finishing polish today and got decent results. I'm using a Porter Cable DA polisher. My question is, I had difficulty removing the product. Does this mean I'm using too much? I'm really not sure about the whole "flashing" thing so maybe I'm not working the polish enough or maybe working it too long. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  12. Thanks Michael, I did exactly what you suggested. I can't wait to get started!
  13. I was looking for you guys today at Ford Nationals in Carlisle, very disappointed you weren't there.
  14. I have a 95 F150 that is in really decent condition, was kept in a barn the last several years. The paint is ok however it has scratches from improper washing and some etching from hard water. I own a Porter Cable 7424 and had tried using other products in the past with disappointing results. My plans are to purchase the following: Detail Spray & Clay Bar Combo Pad & Polish Kit (I want the 7" for the Porter Cable, right?) Do I want to follow up with the paint sealant or the H2O Guard and Gloss? My F150 is not a daily driver, it comes out on the weekends and may see some rain, but will not be driven in snow and salt. A couple of other questions, I watched the videos and it gives speeds for the Cycle machine, but not for a Porter Cable, what speeds for the paint correcting and paint finishing? Sorry for all the questions, but I want to make sure I buy the right stuff, I've already wasted a ton of money on other products that didn't work. Thanks for the help!
  15. I'm a novice when it comes to detailing, however it is something I really enjoy doing. I have a Porter Cable orbital polisher and I would really like to learn how to get my cars to really shine. I'm looking forward to trying some of your products. I'm heading to Ford Nationals in Carlisle this weekend, hopefully I will see you guys there.
