  1. Magic Erasers can discolor anything dark. They are awesome for somethings, but not EVERYTHING! Hairspray or a dab of rubbing alcohol will do it, but test alcohol in an inconspicuous place first to make sure it won't muck things up.
  2. Definitely Clay it, it will likely have a load of rail dust all over it.
  3. New Jeeps have the same problem. Not sure of a good removal method, although, I'd try wetting them entirely with plain water, so that the discoloration is uniform.. But I don't know what the heck I'm doing, so you might not want to try that!
  4. Nice pics, thanks for sharing them. Hubby went several years ago, with a bunch of our Power Tour friends, he had a blast. I had to stay home with the kids since they were in school already. We have several friends in the area who attend every year. I love the "woody" Bronco! That is awesome
  5. Surprised no one has mentioned this yet..... Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour! Go as many years as possible! It is amazing! Thousands of cars all traveling across the country, (or as far from home as they dare stray...) together! Driving back roads and small towns to each destination. I highly recommend it! Never met a nicer group... And this year on our way home as a bonus we stopped at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY and got to see a 'Vette being "born". It was pretty cool! Here's a shot from our hotel room. Since this was the day we left, there weren't many cars left in the lot....
  6. Small bucket of water, old rag, drying towel. Wipe down, rinse, repeat. Dry. Done. Next time it will just need a wipe to dry the drops that get in there from washing.
  7. LOL! Thanks AJ! I watched the slow cut vids too! You are a youtube star! I am feeling fairly confident now.... Just gotta have some time and appropriate conditions to work on some stuff! Probably start tomorrow on the Mazda! Whoo hoo! I feel like a kid in the candy store! Thanks for all your help and encouragement
  8. All right! Got my PC today.... Watched the videos! I am set! I'll try and get some pics when I'm done.... Thanks Junkman you are the best!
  9. Ok, AJ, if it's not here tomorrow, I'm sending in the Marines! LOL!
  10. Man! I am soooo impatient! I want my PC...... How long does it take??? I ordered my kit on the 4th, it shipped that day. Got my Adam's goodies on the 10th and here I sit with sunny days and no buffer. Typical woman, I want it yesterday. I im'd Ashley yesterday and she said she'd get with the company who sends them out and email me, but nothing from her yet either......... sigh
  11. No plans as yet...... But, if I can't figure it out I'll let you know! Gotta get my PC first...... I hate waiting. We sold the Camaro, that I really wanted to work on. So my next project is the Mazda.... I hate to put the miles on it driving it down there, since it is already fairly high mileage, and for sale as well. After I work my self through the Mazda, then comes the Jeep, and finally the Charger! Fortunately the Charger doesn't need much, but I am still afraid of it's new paint! LOL!
  12. Well, I got my box of Adams stuff today! Yay! Now I just gotta get the PC..... anyone know roughly how long it takes to ship?
  13. I can't wait to get all my goodies! I spent the day polishing and waxing my Mazda by hand, since a prospective buyer was coming by to look at it. Now of course it is raining, and they drove it in the rain.... But next time it gets cleaned up hopefully it will get the whole nine yards with my new PC.... Unless, I sell it first (which really would be best)!
  14. Yes, and fortunately for me, he's less than 2 hours away!
  15. Wow! After way too long, stuff kept coming up, I finally ordered my PC kit and the smaller pads! I am stoked! I just want to thank Junkman for all his encouragement and advice! I'll post up some pics, when I get my stuff and get to use it!
  16. Brent you just cleaned the dirt off.... Use a good leather cleaner and clean the entire seat, and then do the drivers.... Cause trust me they are dirty! Then condition them and they will be fine. Like mentioned above, jeans and dark fabrics can transfer color to lighter items. And our seats do get dirty just from being sat upon.
  17. Subscribing to this thread.... Wish it would be somewhere south of Indy...
  18. x2 for Comet, used to use it all the time for my old white letter tires, on a toothbrush or scrub brush...
  19. Hahaha! You are my new favorite person today!
  20. Hahaha! Well, I'm sure it's easier to weld two doors shut than four! Us old moms like having 4 doors tho'.....
  21. I've heard that the lights will yellow, over time since the UV coating has been removed.... Are there plans to re-clear them, or just touch them up every month or two?
  22. Once the flammable solvent evaporates you should be fine...
  23. Do you drive a Charger, or are Bo and Luke still driving it???? !
