  1. So you guys are saying no with the California duster? The input is certainly appreciated and will be placing an order soon, thank you!!!!!
  2. Well ladies and gents, it's been a while since I've been on here, glad to be back! I had a quick question on how to best clean my car after it's been driven a bit and has gotten a bit dusty, gotta love a black car in west Texas! Typically I would first GENTLY go over the car with a California duster to get all the dust off the car and then wipe it down with Detail Spray. What do you guys recommend? Going straight to Waterless Wash to lift the dust off the paint and then follow up with Detail Spray, skipping the California Duster all together? Open to opinions, thanks!
  3. So how long would you say BW wax lasts? Provided the vehicle isn't rained on and just gets dusty from daily use. How would you be able to tell if a car still has wax on it regardless of what sort of wax it is? Thanks for the help!
  4. Alrighty, good to know! I thought I was the only one running into this. Maybe Santa has room in his sleigh for one more?
  5. I didn't wash mine before using it for the first time and it worked great, no lint either! One thing I did come across though is that it seemed hard to wring out when the drying towel was "full" of water. When I would wring it out it seemed like I could never get enough water out of it and it would streak water when I would try to dry my car some more. What method do you guys and gals use when using this towel? I'm sure it's my technique, I've just never heard of any complaints about this bad boy. I've been thinking about picking up a second towel so that I could use one to get the majority of the water off and then use the second to get what's left.
  6. Gorgeous car! What's it like to drive something that's got the torque that that thing does?
  7. Thansk for the compliments! Yeah those brown spots are a pain to get up and we haven't had much success in removing them. Any ideas?
  8. Jeez guys, I'm horribly sorry for the delay. I've uploaded a few pictures for ya'll, enjoy!
  9. Thanks for the replies! My poor bike and I have seen our fair share of spills over time, probably best that I didn't do any close ups of her! I'll have to snap some pictures of my Dad's Commemorative-themed garage for you guys, he sure put some work into it.
  10. Well Dad had his car Adamized so I figured I'd do my bike as well. I clayed the frame then went over it with some Buttery Wax and she looks great! With the color combo of both my Dad's car and my bike, I had to snap a few pictures!
  11. There is no way I am going to skip out on doing that before I cash out!
  12. That's exactly what I'm trying to do, and it's working well so far. Thanks for the advice Adam!
  13. Sounds like a great idea! Ideally, I'd have the customer drop their car off and I could take care of it where I usually do my car. Wish in one hand and do what in the other? Take care gents!
  14. Thanks for the quick replies! I was thinking along those lines, I could just pick up a hose and use it when I'm in that situation.
  15. Afternoon gents, I've got an appointment coming up where I will be detailing a car at their house. From what I gather from the customer, the car will need a thorough wash as opposed to a round of DS prior to any other work. My question is, for those of you who have detailed cars at locations other than your house, what do you do for a water supply if you need to wash the car? Thanks in advance! Bryan
  16. Nice work! I've been throwing around the idea of doing some cars as a part time job myself. I love doing my car and figured doing some others would be fun too. One thing that would concern me is getting the client's car to our garage to get to work on it. Ideally, I would like for the customer to drop their car off and I'd give them a call when it is done. However, if I do have to do their car and I can't get them to bring it over to our garage and the car needs to be sprayed/soaped down what would you suggest me doing since I wouldn't have access to a hose? I don't mean to hijack the thread but I thought it would help out anyone looking to do something like this. Again, nice work Tom!
  17. Can anyone recommend how I would be able to remove rock chips and such from my headlights? Maybe there's a light abrasive I can use to get them out?
  18. Those wheels look really sharp on that car!
  19. Thanks! He sure is a member, his is #1917, what number is yours?
  20. Thanks, it feels great nailing the 3-4 shift with the skinny pedal to the floor!
  21. Thanks for all the compliments gents! I've been looking at picking up a PC kit with the different pads and such. I really wish I had a beater car to drive during the week, just kills me to spend time cleaning my car on the weekends only to have her get filthy during the week. Oh well, I enjoy doing it not to mention having a few cold ones while doing it makes it that much better! Victor- I'll get the show schedule to you when I get home. There's pretty much a show every weekend at different locations in McAllen and Mission. Nice looking Z, my Dad has a 2004 Z16. Are you part of the Valley Corvette Club?
  22. Chris- I sure did. I tried my hand at first with a rattle can after seeing some guys get some good results with them but I wasn't one of them. I wish I had gone with a darker gray than I had though. Victor- Good to see some local folks around! Do you make it to the weekly car shows in McAllen?
  23. Thanks for the quick repsonses! These pictures are from before my Adam's days but I've not changed the car cosmetically since these. The last picture is my favorite.
  24. Just wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone on here! I'm relatively new to Adam's Polishes but I've learned a ton from this forum and I can see the results on my 2006 GTO. Thank you for all your help and keep the good info coming! Bryan
