  1. Last week, I passed a newer model Vette with the same plate, yet there was a woman in the passenger seat and a guy in the driver seat. I could only assume it was the new boyfriend driving her ex's Vette. Can't imagine that would go over too well.
  2. We live in the mountains. Here's ours:
  3. Congrats on the 1st place trophy, Gerry. Candlewood Valley is part of my old stomping ground. I was just back in CT for barely a day on the backside of the fall colors (much better than what we get out in CO). I flew out to drive my mom down to her winter place in NC. As I was driving through, I noticed a lot of changes - been quite a while since I've been back there, but the CT hills are still pretty. Hope to bring the family back for a lengthy visit next summer - been trying for the last few years, but it hasn't panned out.
  4. Cool. I want a '67 fastback. Had to continue adding to the fund once the movie 'Gone in 60 Seconds' came out and nearly tripled their prices overnight. Not to mention they're even tougher to find now. Saw a beautiful red '67 GT500 a few weeks back, but don't have an extra $300k lying around to take it off the guy's hands. If I did, I'm sure I could enjoy the car without having to go through the full restoration process. Notice the '07 GT500 beside it? That's his too - nice pair he's got. Though my '07 is a little nicer, so that sweet '67 would look a little better sitting beside my car.
  5. I am a bit envious, Teresa. Still on my to-do list is a complete rebuild of a classic Mustang. Just don't yet have the car in hand, or the rebuild scheduled into the calendar. I think the start of that project is still at least a few years off. But the best thing about a project like that is the incredible satisfaction of investing all the sweat equity towards an incredible finished product. Makes you love your car that much more when your behind the wheel of that "new" old car with a killer paint job and sweet motor.
  6. Your assumptions are all correct. Use the WCW to remove dust, light amounts of dirt, and bug guts. After you clean with the WCW, you can follow up with the DS for a really nice shine.
  7. Aaahh, it's ok, I guess. I haven't even started on the power mods yet, I mean it's only got 500 horses at the flywheel. Nothing to brag about, really. Actually, I can't brag - I know quite a few folks with 300 more RWHP than my stocker.
  8. I'll be adding pics throughout the winter as the mods continue. Have to get it ready for next year's show circuit & maybe a little drag racing.
  9. New engine caps installed today - couldn't take outdoor pics yet because of the snow, and the Shelby don't do snow.
  10. I thought I'd post some updated pics showing off some of the newer mods. Detailing from Sunday.
  11. A blown 572, huh? Sounds like it may be a little light on power - you're probably going to have to add nitrous to get it to go down the track at a respectable clip. :lolsmack::lolsmack:
  12. Most of the time, only 6. Sometimes I get to add some extras to my team. 8 or more is a lot more fun, especially heading down hill and around the corners!
  13. Something wonderful! Dylan, you need to come visit and see what it's all about. Plus, come late spring, you're really ready for the warm weather and appreciate it that much more. And after all the snow is gone, then comes car show season. And when it's cold and snowy out, you get to have some quality cuddle time in front of the fire with your honey. You get to do so many fun things in the snow, like this:
  14. I actually took these pics on Sunday. This is what makes living in Colorado so much fun.
  15. On Monday, the last day of summer, I ran into a big problem trying to get my truck detailed. Good thing I finished the Mustang and got it covered in the garage on Sunday.
  16. Hey, thanks for inviting me up that day. Would have looked sweet with 2 red Ford sports cars in some of the pics.
  17. Final tally on the 3rd Annual Sturgis Mustang Rally: Show & Shine Mustangs registered - 430 Total Mustangs in attendance - 738 Not too shabby for only the 3rd year.
  18. It's this cool little hand laid fiberglass radiator cover that some guy named Hendrix from some company called Bangastang makes. Pretty sweet isn't it? Bet you haven't seen one of those before. :lolsmack: It was quite a hit at the show.
  19. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Things were pretty crazy this past weekend, so my wife was helping out at the Adam's table. We were handing out 4oz samples of DS. On Thursday night, while I was off dealing with another show participant, a guy was grilling my wife about what makes the Adam's DS so much better than the Meg's DS - he was a big Meg's user. Even with her explaining multiple times about the higher quality, more expensive ingredients, etc, etc, he just kept on and on with the "yeah but why", and "yeah right" stuff. I guess he was being pretty obnoxious, and if it was me he was dealing with, I would have eventually said, "you know, you're perfectly welcome to put that free sample back on the table if you don't want to at least try it to see if what I'm saying is true", but my wife managed to put up with his harrassment and finally saw him off. I guess he managed to actually upset her pretty good with the way he was acting towards her. On Saturday during the Show & Shine, again while I was out in the crowd dealing with other show goers, this Meg's loving guy stopped by the table again. This time, he apologized to my wife for the way he was acting on Thursday night, said she was 100% right about how much better Adam's DS was, and then bought a couple of 16oz bottles from her. After that, she started using that story every time someone else would start in on the "what makes Adam's products so good" questions. Next show, all we have to say is that my fairly stock GT500 beat out a few dozen other GT500's, and a bunch of them had a lot more fancy aftermarket goodies on them than ours did.
  20. Here's how I've been telling folks to use the 2 products: If the car is clean, and you take it out for a quick drive and get it dusty or get some bug splat on it, run the WW over the car to quickly clean the "new" lighter dirt off of it. By the way, the WW works great on grasshopper guts - I know from personal experience this past weekend (for those folks who've been dealing with the grasshopper infestation this summer). The DS is to be used to help really punch the shine on your car after it's cleaned up good. To get my car ready for a Show & Shine this past weekend, I had to clean it with the WW, then went over it with the DS to get it to really shine. The DS seems to add a little more shine to the whole car, even when it's clean and freshly waxed. This procedure led me to get a 2nd place finish at the Show & Shine at the Sturgis Mustang Rally over the weekend, and our fairly stock looking car went up against some nicely outfitted competition with some sweet aftermarket bling.
  21. Thanks, I'm pretty partial to mine too, even if the Saleen Extreme has 300 more RWHP:jawdrop:, and is a good 600 lbs lighter than mine. Of course, the Extreme cost twice as much as mine did. I'll be cutting that hp difference down by 100-150 RWHP by next summer though.
  22. This pic is at the house of the rally's Vice President - our car on the left, his Saleen Extreme (which won 1st in his class at the Show & Shine) in the middle, and his wife's Saleen convertible:
  23. Here are a few pics of the rally. I'll post up total car numbers as soon as I get them from the rally organizers. At the Show & Shine, we took 2nd place :banana:in the Shelby GT500 class, which consisted of 32-34 cars. It was a bit of a surprise, as there were some really sweet cars there. Here are some pics of our car at the Show & Shine, and a pic of our Adam's table in the rally's registration building.
  24. Forget about winning the lottery, unless you're a retired state or federal employee with a sweet *** lifetime pension, or you've already won a mega jackpot once before.
  25. Hey Adam, Why don't you pick up a 458 and make it the new Adam's Polishes official company car? I'll keep it in my garage for you, since I know you don't have enough extra space. Don't worry, I'll keep it detailed for you, and bring it over whenever you want to go for a drive.
