    Bringing back an old thread....

This is my daily driver, it sits outside 24/7.  It’s an 18 yr old Chevy Silverado.

I drive both back roads and highways, work in city atmosphere near train tracks, live in the country.

3 months ago to the day, I cleaned , clay mitt, clay barred, Heavy Correction Compounded, and Correction Polished the driver side...Passenger side got One Step.  Then both sides got Coating Prep.  This truck has been an experiment, and came completely trashed when I purchased it in May.

    Driver side...
    Front fender- Paint Sealant
    Doors- GnG
Gas door area(Front of bed)- Ceramic Waterless
    ”Z71” area(Rear Bed)- Ceramic Boost

    Passenger Side...
    Ceramic Spray Coating

Let is also be known, Ive washed the truck only 3 times, with only Car Shampoo, dry with just a towel, no DS or other toppers.

Here are a few videos I made today after using my Apple Cider Shampoo 😬👍🍎🍏🎃

I watched an Adams YouTube video that other day that mentioned not to use the Graphene Detail Spray as a drying agent because it's too "streaky".

Brian, here’s another option,  a light clay, IPA wipe down, and application of Spray Coating, twice a year and you may possibly stay perpetually coated.

    Add some Ceramic Waterless weekly

Ceramic Boost Monthly (or one of the Ceramic Waxes)

At least this is my plan

I don’t think DS will ever be replaced.  I have bottles all over my house, and a few gallons.  Use it for everything.  When the Graphene DS came out, i was excited and loaded up.  Blew thru a gallon,  but now rarely use it at all.

I used to use detail spray as my dying aid. I tried the CS3 for the first time for drying and I must say it's much slicker. I did a full bucket wash and then dried with CS3 as lubrication in 20 mins. It worked great for getting all that salt off the paint! I just wonder why they give such a tiny bottle for it. I almost ran out by the time I was finishing, and the car is just a mid sized sedan....

Shortly after ceramic coating my black-on-black '13 GT500 a couple of years ago, I participated in a local car show. Without knowing it, I was staged downwind from a maple tree that was weeping sap into the steady breeze. By the time I figured out what was going on, hours in the bright summer sun had passed, baking the misted sap onto the entire car. Figuring I'd have to clay, correct, and re-coat the car, I began by washing it (2-buckets, Adam's Car Shampoo, and an Adam's Wash Pad).  Much to my surprise (and elation) the baked-on sap came off with a simple, standard wash - the car was as smooth and shiny as it was right after coating! I'm relatively certain things would have been much different with wax and even sealant as LSP.  Everything we drive is now ceramic coated.

Simply apply VRT to all trim as a first step, any polish or sealant that gets on there will be easily removed by wiping it away with a towel. 🙂

Note you should not do this if you intend to use a Graphene Ceramic (Spray) Coating.

We’ve had a reprieve from winter with back to back 50* F sunny days. Yesterday my wife’s Beast got cleaned, today my SS got its turn to be bathed. I did both the same way: 4 gallons piping hot water in a five gallon bucket with Adam’s Car shampoo adding water from the hose for cooling so I could put my hands in the bucket. I started with a rinse to get the loose crud and salt off followed by Adam’s Strip Wash in the foam gun x2 with rinses in between foaming and after foaming. I then refoamed with Adam’s Car Shampoo and used multiple MF wash mitts to clean the vehicles. After the final rinse I doused both vehicles with Ceramic Boost while drying. I have a bottle of a competitors tire stuff to use up so that’s what the tires they got. I pulled both of our drivers side Weather Tech mats and cleaned them with Adam’s Rubber Mat & Liner Cleaner then treated them with Adam’s Graphene Spray coating. I also wiped down both interiors with a damp MF towel. Of course rain and snow is in the forecast for Tuesday through Friday.

Walked out of the office today and took a long hard look at my filthy SS. It hasn’t been washed in a long time, November 23, 2021 to be exact. We’ve been busy with our puppy Loki and life in general.

Sunday is supposed to be mid 40’s and sunny. If that materializes my SS, the wife’s Beast and mom’s Corolla will all get a mid winter wash.

As Mc2Hill recommended thought I'd give the Stingray alittle love using Brilliant Glaze then Americana. When I did the Biscayne it had been a few weeks in-between the BG & AMERICANA. Today I went back to back. I did remove the BG before applying the Americana. Turned out very nice.
Just did a waterless wash on her first as she wasn't really dirty, still have to do the wheels but almost ready for Corvette Expo in Pigeon Forge mid March.

So, I just received my bottle (2 actually, one to use and one to save) and I guess its come full circle. Pictured is my 12 year old unused original bottle of Adams cherry car shampoo !
Same scent although not as strong being old. Kinda cool having both or I'm just getting old. LOL

And keep in mind that this process is not a QUICK process.  You need a few days dedicated to it, especially since  you're new to it.  One day and done doesn't cut it.  But you also didn't post a thing after your original post, nor did  you post any pictures, so I'm beginning to think you're just here to try and stir things up.

I finally got around to getting my truck redone with Graphene Spray Coating.  I did not plan on doing the trunk until the new garage was built, but found out that I'll need to take it on a short trip, so it has to look good.  After doing plenty of other vehicles, it is nice to have my own vehicle done.

The truck is 4 years old and has sat outside since it was purchased and it has 21,000 miles on it.  If it wasn't for the trips, it would probably be under 10k miles.
