  1. Welcome I'm a transplant to Florida from the Mentor, Ohio area.
  2. Welcome nice Camaro like the color.
  3. This past 4th of July weekend I finally was able to finish my coatings I did wheels, trim and paint now. It was quite easy overall I agree the hard part is actually the prep work for each. I started on Memorial day weekend doing the wheels and trim and then didn't have time until now to do the paint. I used a few days between those dates to polish the paint as the car does not go anywhere any how often so I didn't have to polish again. Now I found that while doing the trim the best tip I can give (I didn't see anyone else give this out if they did then I agree with them) is I used the Adam's Interior Detailing Swabs as applicators when doing the trim in tight spots. It worked well around the arms of the wipers around the mirrors along the trim around the windows. This is plastic so I did it I had a few spot of trim that was a vinyl/rubber substance and I did not apply any coating on them not sure it would work on that but the plastic parts look great. Wheels were easy no tips I could give other than wear gloves or you will have dirty hands for a few days until it all washes off.
  4. Master Blaster bar none I know the Visco Clay Bar is a product not a tool but it is worth a mention for how well it works.
  5. The service is the reason I use the products I love the products but I used the service first asking questions and even my first order was a phone order and I was hooked right then. They treat you like you like they would like to be treated. I can't think of any other company I deal with that is this great!
  6. I have never forgot to put the license plate back on but I learned that from a friend that the best place for the plates is on the drivers seat. I place them in a towel so that don't scratch the leather and also don't forget to tape the screws to the plate. Now that I have done put the plate in one place screws in another and spent endless time looking for them (the screws) then.
  7. Hello All, Recently picked up a couple new cars 1 for the wife and 1 for myself after many years of driving the same vehicles. I decided this time I was going keep them up myself. I enjoy the process of detailing them as I have in past worked in the field. It has been some time since then so I will need to come up to speed about new products and new techniques. I scoured the internet for who offered quality products and Adams came up over and over again. Then I made my first purchase and was one the phone for nearly an hour with the sales rep she was super help full thanks goodness for Adams it was a big purchase. But no sooner did that arrive and I needed some more (I bet a few of you know what I mean). And let me tell once I started using the stuff and ran into trouble wow the customer service was awesome they set me straight in minutes so thanks again to them for that. Have loved the way they take care of us customers that is. I try to do this in my own business and man I have to say they will keep me on my toes with the service they give. Thanks again to the guys/gals at Adams and a hello to all you that are on the forum here. Joe
  8. I have noticed that some of you are on the fence about ordering due to having to buy a 50 ml bottle when you're hoping they will come out with a smaller one. Well I bit the bullet and bought it as I had my car coated by a professional and yes he was a true professional. However when it came to the wheel he offered to do them at $100 a wheel $400 in total of course. I had to weigh the cost of him doing it or me. Well I did it myself because I could do it way cheaper. I have more time than money so I have gotten good at DIY things. I do appreciate his work though as it did take quite sometime to do them about 8-10 hours. Mind you I had never done this before followed the directions to a tee and also took off my brake caliper covers and did them and reinstalled after. I was able to get the job done for well less than half of the quote I got. I did use a few older microfiber towels as you know they are trashed after using for this. I however didn't skimp on the applicators I think the Adams one looked like it would work great and it did I needed to use 2 as it took a weekend to get this all done. Those that are not familiar they will harden once they dry. Side note now: I did have a minor issue I live in Florida the home of humidity so while wiping the first rim off I didn't realize that I didn't get it good enough. The next day I did a ceramic boost and it still didn't come off I was like o boy. Called the Adams hotline for a quick resolve and got it. I think it was Dan asked if I had the Orange Polish which I did to use that with a microfiber towel and elbow grease came right off to perfection. Hope this post helps some of you.
