when should one strip and re wax a vehicle. I used sealer and wax on by truck 5 months ago. in between i have washed and used detail spray to keep it looking nice.

been looking at all the how to videos and came across on how its a good idea to use paint sealant on your everyday ride. since i have used buttery wax already, do i need to strip wax and then apply sealant?
