  1. Thanks, a coat of Brilliant Glaze and Americana are going on soon. Got to get the car in top shape for Pontiac Nationals in three weeks.
  2. So do you rub the butter over the sap or leave it sit on the sap and wip away?
  3. How's it going? I have been working under a work light. This stuff sucks. I don't. Lol . I have no idea where it came from. It may be some type of tar. Thanks I will give that a try. Tried heat and it took the top layer off, but still left a mark.
  4. Anyone have some tips on removing tree sap without using a clay bar. I have tried to clay bar them off but they are dark brown on a black car and when wet blend right. When using the clay bar I can not see if the sap is still there once I clay the top layer off. This has become a real PITA.
  5. Showed the G8 at the Pontiac Nationals today (got 1st by the way) but I did something stupid. The wheels and tires needed a going over so I grabbed that Adams products that I needed for the job. Only problem is that I did not look at the label of what looked to be VRT. So a put some "VRT" on the sponge and start working it into the tire but nothing happens it just keeps leaving a white film on the tire. I applied the "VRT" twice before I noticed the bottle and the words Swril and Haze on it. I am glad no one was there looking over my sholder. The the good news it that my rear pass side tire is free of swrils now.
  6. I took 1st in Full size stock G8 at Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk Ohio today. I used Americaca for the first time for this show and it paid off.
  7. I took 1st in 1990 and up stock Pontiac at the Haydocy Automotive 25th Annual All Pontiac Indian Uprising Car show and Swap. This was my very first car show with any car and had a blast. Thanks go's out to Adams and their great products and help. There were a ton of GTOs both old and new and one other G8 that was 100% stock (even had the window sticker still on the window).
  8. My grass does suck. Stupide lawn care people killed most of it.
  9. Thanks everyone. You are right, everything got much easier after only doing half the car.
  10. Spend most of the weekend working on the car and for the first time I used only Adams. SHR did an awesome job. I had minor swirls but they still were bad in places like the hood and trunk lid. I would say I got 98% of them out and I will do some spot work later to get the other 2% out. Here is a list of all of the Adams products that I used on the car this weekend. Car Wash Clay Bar DS SHR FMP SMW VRT Glass APC In&out Here are a couple of pics. Camera died before I could get some more. Hood: Trunk: Roof: Door:
  11. I had to use 3/4 of a bottle just to get all of the holes in the front seats. I gave up before starting the rear ones. There's got to be a better way. I tried using my hand, red pad that comes with the conditioner and a MF pad and it took for ever to get the front seats to about 95%. Is there a way to water down the conditioner to make it easier to get in these stupid little holes? Other then the holes the seats look great and the conditioner did a great job on the doors.
  12. What is the best way to condition perforated leather? I noticed that after using the leather conditioner that some of the holes did not get the conditioner into them. Do I just need to use more and push harder?
  13. Used the leaf blower yesterday and it did a great job.
  14. Well I end up getting a leaf blower. Sears had a corded one on sale today for $29.99.
  15. Got a 20% off coupon for Harbor Freight and I found that they have a real cheap oil less compressor. So I will pick that up until I can get a good one.
  16. Yeah my neighbors already think I am nuts when it comes to my car, who knows what they will think if I take a leaf blower to it lol. Guess I can close the garage door and do it.
