  1. Just used G&G on my wifes GTI after washing the car with Wash & Wax. Will the Wash and Wax hinder the agents at all? Should I was with a normal soap prior to the G&G and then use the W&W for my maintenance washes? When I was applying the G&G I was using this microfiber : https://adamspolishes.com/shop/accessories/microfiber-towels/adam-s-single-soft-microfiber-towel.html Whats the best way to clean the grey G*G from the towel? Normal MF towel cleaner? I noticed it went on really easily at the start. Towards the end when my towel was getting pretty saturated, I was having issues removing with my clean dry towel. I found I needed to wipe with the wet towel with the G&G and then immediately wipe off with the clean to streaks. What am I doing wrong?
  2. Ok, Ill order one and not let the wife see it haha. But what kind of adapters do I need for my pressure washer?
  3. My wife bought me a Gilmour Foamaster for Christmas last year. Ive yet to get it hooked up to my dying pressure washer. I expect Ill get a SunJoe in a year or whenever this thing dies, just cant bring myself to replace it quite yet.
  4. Thanks! Yea I do the two bucket method. I need a new wash mitt though... was trying to use one of the sponges I got and smashed my fingernail onto the license plate... not doing that again lol.
  5. I only understood half of the whole "clean and wash media again." Can you explain in layman's terms lol?
  6. Hello everyone. I've always enjoyed detailing my cars, as much as I hate how sore I am the day after. I jumped on the Chemical Guys train like 10 years ago (when they had paper labels) and quckly learned its not about the brand, but about the products. Two years ago I started divining into other brands (my buddy was always an Adams guy) and I picked up some other stuff. Menzerna, Wolfganag, Poor Boys. Just recently when Adams did the Mystery buckets I picked up two... So far Ive only used the Wheel Cleaner and the 4th of July soap... and Im sold I still use my Menzerna and other products for polishing, but Im slowly making the switch and finding more Adams products I like. Shoot, I just ordered 4 more Mystery boxes! The soap ROCKS. I dont know whats different about it. But just washing my wife's GTI, in direct sun, with hard Frederick city water - I had almost no water spots. Had a few run off drops that was more then acceptable. My coworker also commented about the new soap washing his black car as well. Anyway, here's my Subaru (the car that got me into the world of cars, detailing, and making friends.) and my... I mean my wife's GTI. I also have a Subaru Crosstrek, which has never been detailed. Need to get more new gear for that unless someone local wants to give me a hand. Also, Subaru Ambassador checking in! Let me know if you have any Subaru needs, or questions Oh, I am looking to buy a new polisher to upgrade from my Porter Cable.... Been eyeing the Rupes unless there's better recommendations. Just cant really swing spending $400 on something like that right now -Charles
  7. Thanks for the reply's. First off, I dont pressure wash and of the cars, straight on. Stand 5 feet away with is spraying in a fan pattern, its the easiest way for me to keep the car damp while I was it. And its the best way to get the mud off the truck after coming back from our cabin. The reason I got it was for a foam gun. As for the condition of the paints on the cars, The truck and prius are in 100% perfect condition. Not a scratch anywhere on them, or swirl mark. My white Subaru the paint is just "dull" Ive been directed to wet sand the whole car. Then do the whole buffing process. The black Subaru is 75% better condition then when I bought it (body wise seeing i built the car.) Its a black with a purple/red pearl in it. The whole passenger side of the car was covered in a green gunk, that I had to use Simple Green and some other cleaners on multiple times to get off. Whatever it was really messed the paint up. It feels sandpaperish, and has no real shine. The drivers side, after about 2 hours of claybaring the front fender, revealed a very scratched up shiny paint. This side was not gunk covered, but was brown. Issue was not caused by the cleaners I was using. Got them from my buddy at Honda. ^My sad paint. I would consider a full Adams kit, if I could sell my Makita. Ill put it up on some forums to see if I get any bites.
  8. Hey everyone! Ive floated around detailing sites for a while and have learned quite a bit. I upset the girlfriend when I yelled at her for how she was washing her black Corolla... Ended with me doing a full by-hand detail job lol. Anyway, Im a Subaru guy... Never been overly concerned about the paint since its old, but I plan on a repaint this winter in my garage so I want to stock up on the "real" detailing stuff. Ive always used Mequires and Mothers soap, along with Simple green. Ive used Adam's products here and there in the little bottles and have always loved the results. But since my inventory of wash, wax, mits, etc is coming near empty... figured I would restock with all Adam's products this time! So I begin here: I have a Makita 9227CX3 buffer. NEVER used it before. **NEED pads and polish! Help me out I have a Snap-On 1750 Electric Pressure washer. I usually pour the soap into the unit... but I think something is getting clogged since its not mixing the soap in good... Maybe what Im using is to thick. I was hoping to pickup a foam gun for the pressure washer... Can anyone suggest one? I havent seen Adam's selling one. I have a black, and a white subaru impreza. The paint is in rough shape on both. I actually dont think there is any clear coat left on the white one. And the black one was seriously keyed on the passenger side down to the paint. Interior on the Black Impreza is black fabric w/ blue Alcantra. Interior on the White Impreza is black mesh fabric. Both have Gold painted wheels. My father has a Silver Tundra, and a Dark Gray Prius. Interior on the Tundra is Gray Leather. Interior on the Prius is Gray Fabric. My mother has a Gold Odyssey. Interior is Tan Fabric. Wheel finish is severely corroded. Here's a photo that shows how bad teh paint on the right side of my one impreza has faded/ scratched up: **Anyway, I need soap, wax, and pads! Interior cleaner, tire cleaner, etc.
