  1. I've never heard of this method before. Hmmmm. I know from experience that removing tint is pretty tedious and takes alot of time to do it right. The problem isn't getting the tint off, its getting all the adhesive off. I can still remember spending hours with adhesive remover and a razor blade getting the tint off of an older car of mine. I'd probably just have a professional do it if I had to do it again.
  2. APC would work. I'd probably just do a full wash on it. If you don't have the time to do a full detail after the wash, maybe just some detail spray if it's recently been fully waxed.
  3. ^ agreed Basic stuff in PS is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Grab a book at the bookstore or something and just start!
  4. wow...pretty deep scratches in that trunk lid. I think the junkman needs to take a crack at that The sonata isn't a bad looking car. Looks great with a little adams love.
  5. hehe. I agree with everything but this line ^ Great looking challenger. I saw a plum crazy SRT-8 charger for sale a while back. Still kicking myself for not picking it up.
  6. I had a 80+ neighbor insist that I was playing music in the middle of the night because she heard a bass sound, like a sub woofer. My landlord came over my place on a few occasions in the middle of the night and heard nothing. Oh, did I mention she also insisted that her fridge was talking to her? :lolsmack::lolsmack:
  7. I'm not sure if there's a recommended number of coats with Buttery Wax. I guess it's just a personal preference. I prefer one coat, personally. You can def use the PC with the Buttery Wax. The only difference is that Buttery Wax was made to be easily applied by hand. If anything, the PC will just make the application even easier.
  8. Rome was unbelievable. I have to take a trip for work to Vicenza in a few weeks and we'll probably hit up Rome for a few days. There is so much to see and do in Rome. We were there for 4 days and we didn't even scratch the surface of what was there to see and do. That bar scene in Rome is....interesting. They have a couple "american bars" and alot of clubs. One thing that was pretty big in Rome was the bar tours...every night. I don't think there was a single night we were there (weekdays included) that there wasn't thousands of people flocking the streets at night for bar tours. I have a couple pics at home of the bar tours. I'll upload em later.
  9. Yeah, def don't wanna infringe on any copyright laws. :(:(:(
  10. Spoke to Steve at Adam's and he said that he couldn't find any more of the banners that are in Chris's garage but he'd keep an eye out for me. In the mean time, i'm thinking about taking that design from the business card thread and having a banner made up. I'll probably go over to a local vinyl shop in town and get prices in the next couple days.
  11. Here are some pics from my trip I promised - 1. Scenic view coming into Munich on the train. 2. Outside the Hofbrauhaus 3. The PRETZEL GIRL at the Hofbrauhaus and my buddy Kevin. She wouldn't take a pic with us until we bought a pretzel. 4. My favorite pic from the whole trip. Me standing by the Colosseum in Rome.
  12. Then we can go to "AA meetings" - Adam's Anonymous! Something tells me they would end up turning into a detail clinic though.
  13. lol...woops. my bad. I've only visited the west coast a handful of times. Most of them the Los Angeles.
  14. They were discussing the lint issue over here too - http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4543
  15. See this thread about the fibers - http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4543 Did you use SMW after the FMP on the initial run? Did you use the PC? I noticed you went to the hand waxing for the second run. I don't know if not letting the SMW cure overnight would cause smearing or not.
  16. I'm sure if you posted some pics up here, we could give you an opinion
  17. Yeah, the leather cleaner and conditioner are for the interior, not the exterior. I'm not 100%, but I think there was a section of Adam's videos where he showed how to clean a top. I'd probably use the APC with a light brush and VRT.
  18. Wow... Where have you been all my life?:banana::banana::banana::banana:
  19. Could be that the car was just WAY overdue for a clay job. If you were using a small piece of clay on a really bad car, I wouldn't be surprised if it was shot by the time you were done, especially if its a bigger car. I agree with everyone above - when in doubt, ditch the old piece and get a new one. Oh, and don't use too much detail spray. I'm guilty of this one.
  20. Chris - Love that banner you've got in your garage. I'm thinking about having one made up.
