  1. As a fan of both version of Waterless Wash, I'm also lucky enough to have enough vehicles that I get to use both on a regular basis. I used the regular Waterless Wash on vehicles with Ceramic Paste Wax and it always worked great. However, after using the Ceramic Waterless Wash on one with CPW, I was really impressed. For vehicles without anything Ceramic, they'll continue to get the regular Waterless Wash, plus I use it for many items around the house.
  2. Hi Ed, I have had very good luck with Ceramic Paste Wax on the single stage paint. Given that this is a classic, I'm presuming it is garaged or kept under cover. Given those as variables and I'm sure it gets treated properly with washing and kept out of bad weather, if you hit with ceramic boost every 6 weeks or so, I'd be willing to bet you'll get a year out of CPW.
  3. There are many different Carnuba waxes available with different objects, timeframes and costs, so it is important to compare all the products. Buttery Wax is the least expensive, has excellent results and smells great. 2-4 weeks on a 100% outside vehicle, a couple months on a garaged vehicle Americana is the next step up, I've had excellent results for 2-4 months on a 100% outside vehicle and 6+ months on a garaged vehicle. Patriot is a specialty wax, it is really designed for show cars and the only place that I have used it. I have no idea on the longevity, but that isn't the purpose of the wax either. Spray Wax, looks great, easy to use, smells great, last 3-5 months on a 100% outside vehicle. Ceramic Paste Wax 8+ months on a 100% outside vehicle , again I don't know how much longer it will last, but I'm sure I'll find out since it still looks great and beads crazy amounts.
  4. Hi Brian, I use various products on the vehicles that I take care of and they range from garage queens, garage kept daily drivers to being outside 100% of the time. The Buttery wax will last 2 weeks to a month for an outside vehicle, the amount of sun makes a difference. Ceramic Paste Wax will last 8+ months for an 100% outside vehicle, I'm not sure how much beyond 8 months, simply because that is longest that it has been on a vehicle that I deal with. I expect the Ceramic Spray Coating to last equal or longer than the Ceramic Paste Wax. No matter which product(s) you use, you still need to do regular two bucket washes and maintenance, such as monthly Ceramic Boost or Wash + Coat. The products are new enough that we don't know the true length and and under what conditions. However, I can say that I am completely satisfied with the application, maintenance and looks of the Adam's products that I've used so far and for the family vehicles they will all get Ceramic Paste Wax or Ceramic Spray Coating.
  5. Unfortunately that one outside of my knowledge area, but given the number of experts on this site, I'm confident someone can provide a answer.
  6. I have watched some of the video's multiple times and have even taken the iPad to the garage and had the video fired up while I was working on a vehicle. The video's can be a great way to learn and see how others are doing a task.
  7. First, there is no such thing as a dumb question, except the question that isn't asked. I've been doing detailing to various levels for ~40'sh years and have never stopped learning. Just a couple of weeks ago I had to purchase a new polisher and got a 15 mm Swirl Killer and it was as if I'd never had one before, it was rather fun learning something new. The SK was not different than when I moved from the old vendors to Adam's, there were plenty of differences and I took my time to test many products, thanks to the Mystery Boxes, and spent countless hours reading on what Adam's products were the equivalent or similar to the other vendors. I still have a mix of several vendors towels and will replace them as they wear out with Adam's towels. Then there are products that I had nothing similar, such as Waterless Wash and Brilliant Glaze and when I start my switch, Ceramics were limited to professional applications with a few limited exceptions. All of this is to say, that since you are on the ceramic line, stick with it for the exterior, it is excellent and easy to use. The non-ceramic products you have won't go to waste and you won't have to buy as many household cleaning products. Please don't ever hesitate to ask questions or ask for additional details, this site is full of outstanding people that helped me make my migration and I can assure you that I believe in paying it forward and helping others.
  8. I still remember getting my first bottle of Detail Spray and wiping down the garage queen and thinking that my garage had never smelled that good. Then my daughter showed up and my first bottle was gone. The second bottle didn't last much longer since it found its way into the screen room to wipe down tables, counters anything else that collected dust or pollen, so I bought my first gallon after that. Waterless Wash is another product that has 1001 uses and it doesn't matter which product line. Computer keyboards, piano keys, electric guitars (no I don't play), game controllers, electronics of all types, just spray the waffle weave towel with a few squirts and then wipe down the item.
  9. When you go to the Adam's product site, there is a page dedicated to the exterior towels: https://adamspolishes.com/collections/exterior-microfiber-detailing-towels You can use most towels for various items, wet and dry, but certain towels are perfected for a specific application. In the case of Waterless Wash, there is a towel called Adam's Microfiber Waterless Wash Towel, with a description of Designed specifically to be used with Adam's Waterless Wash. These towels have a unique waffle texture to clean a slightly dirty vehicle without introducing new swirls or scratches. The glass towels are also designed for specific use cases, such as the Adam's Green Glass Towel. In other cases the products themselves will recommend a certain towel type. Myself, I tend to have a borderless gray stuck in my back pocket at the time and I'll use them for just about anything, with the exception of the engine bay. I have special towels for the engine bay, they are called worn out, near junk ready to go away towels. The engine bay towels are always kept separate, never wash in the washing machine to ensure no grease, oil or other contaminants would contact my good towels. I also keep my Ceramic product towels separate from the general usage towels. I'm not sure it really makes a difference anymore, but Ceramic Boost 1.0 seemed to embed itself in the towels and I have not notified that condition since I ran out CB 1.0 about 6 months ago. When I'm working on the garage queen or another high end vehicle, I tend to go with the softest towel possible and I change out towels often.
  10. For the Ceramic Boost, just wash them or soak them immediately after use. I generally use the Borderless Gray and the 12 pack is a good deal for the towels and you can never have too many towels.
  11. As @falcaineer mentioned you can use it often on the garage queens without worry. To really get the extra pop for a show or weekend out, got it the vehicle with Brilliant Glaze after using Ceramic Waterless Wash. I keep Waterless Wash and BG in my travel kit to take care of bugs other messes that get on the vehicle during travel.
  12. Hi Cheryl, I'm going to recommend you post a picture of the vehicle and area you are looking to protect. Off hand, my first recommendation for something long lasting would be Ceramic Spray Coating.
  13. Everything that @mc2hill said, plus one additional piece of advice for anyone going from another polisher to the SK - Forget everything you thought you knew about polishing and start learning again. I recently switched to a SK and wish I would have had it a long time ago, but it did take a complete relearning to use it effectively and WOW, what a difference it made.
  14. If they are caught quickly, Waterless Wash and Brilliant Glaze can also take them off.
  15. If you get into excessive bugs, not that it would happen around the horse farms on 301 just before Ocala, don't use the gas station cleaners. You should pull out your Adam's Glass cleaner from your travel kit and do the windshield properly. I have also found that by using Glass Boost about every two weeks, that I don't need to release the windshield for 2-3 months according to how much it has rained and whether or not the vehicle is kept under cover.
  16. I see we have more that we can teach you about Adam's products, they aren't just for cars. Here are a few examples: Brilliant Glaze will clean a mirror and reduce the fogging Brilliant Glaze will leave your stainless steel appliances looking sharp and you can touch them up with Detail Spray Glass Cleaner on windows is so much better than than the blue stuff you get in wally world If you are going to wash anything with vinyl, aluminum or fiberglass, Adam's Shampoo works like a charm Have anything that needs to be cleaned but you don't want it to get wet, Waterless Wash is the answer APC will clean stains in your sink and work on any product Wax on the shower walls or better yet, Ceramic Spray Coating will keep them soap free, just don't do the floor Glass Sealant on the Show Door Ceramic Boost on your Shovel and underside of the lawnmower to keep the grass from sticking The list goes on and on about alternate uses for Adam's products.
  17. Welcome Mark and don't forget to post pictures of your rides. I take care of a Range Rover Evoque and I'm not sure which is worse the wheels or the grill, everything else is pretty easy and Adam's keeps it looking good.
  18. The wishlist is online again. My previous items in the wishlist showed up when I added a new item to the wishlist. To ensure it was staying there, I signed out, cleared the cache and signed back in and it was still there.
  19. One of the things that I look for on the specials is the Gallon refill kits. It is an inexpensive way to get an extra 16 oz bottle for your travel kit, an applicator and/or add to your microfiber collection.
  20. It seems like they come back in the fall for a short period of time. I bought three of them last fall and used two for Christmas gifts for my Daughters and kept the 3rd for myself. They are heavy, very warm and unbelievably soft.
  21. I'm in agreement with Juan, Nick and Brandon with the exception that I rarely get out the Foam Cannon and just use the Foam Gun with Ultra Shampoo. My vehicles are well maintained and don't know what dirt is, so they area easy to wash up with the Foam Gun and a two bucket hand wash. To apply the Tire Shine, I also use a soft a bristle brush so it gets into all the little spaces.
  22. Congratulations Chris. I know you have helped me with my transition to Adam's products and it is most certainly appreciated.
  23. If the correcting polish doesn't work, you can try #0000 steel wool, just make sure you don't grab anything more aggressive by mistake.
  24. @SgtLip and @mc2hill Since it looks like we have a triangle between Crystal River, Orlando and Ridge Manor and the map indicates that Groveland may make for a decent meeting place at some point. I've got another few months before I'll head that way unless the father-in-law needs something., but something worth keeping in mind. Donald, I come down via 301 to Ocala and then I usually jump on to 75 until we get down to Route 50.
