  1. I'm not sure I've had it leak from the bottom but it seems like a lot of my chemicals drip from the sprayers in storage. It's kind of a mess when I pull everything out. Especially since I store most used products in trunk organizers. Do you have any of the heavier duty bottles that you could transfer to so you can see what happens with those? APC was originally sent in regular bottles but they were always leaking so it was moved to the better ones

  2. I've seen it before but I can't find a good video right now. This video kind of shows it starting around 8:30. I've seen where they use painters tape to mark where the badges go then they remove them, polish the area, and then use the tape to align the badges for reinstall. I'm sure new adhesive would be need so I'm not sure about that part. I haven't found a good way to polish around badges without removing them. It's my least favorite part of detailing.

  3. Has anyone used the Foam and Seal combo with a Premium Foam Gun? The video and description says it works. The bottles do attach to the gun but the metering tip does not fit into the bottle, I don't think at least. I didn't try to force it. I used nearly the full bottle of foam on just the roof and back hatch. It didn't foam much and dilution was bad. I tried my best to make the most of it but I think I should've just rinsed it off and went with a 2 bucket wash. I just wanted to see if anyone had tips for using the foam gun. I might have to get a pressure washer before I try the Foam and Seal combo again.

  4. Has anyone else seen an increase in items missing from orders? My last 5 or 6 orders have had something missing. One order was missing over $50 worth of items. They always send the missing items (sometimes it takes a couple tries) but it's frustrating having to wait another week for the missing items. Is it just me with bad luck? This started before Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales.

  5. I received the email before they posted on Instagram I think. When I ordered, a few sizes were sold out on shirts but most sizes were still available. I don't need anymore black or grey shirts though so I didn't spend much time looking at them.

That can be caused by a couple of things, and I've had it happen. Overheating, too much pressure down on the pad, or just general overuse are some common reasons. How long have you used the pad? How many cars? How much pressure do you think you're putting down on the machine and pad as you polish? It really doesn't take more than the weight of your hand, maybe a little bit more. More and the pad gets overly compressed, braking down the cell structure in the pad and/or the adhesive between the backing and the pad.

I think they had just been used for half a car before. I used it on bumpers, mirrors, and roof line of my Edge and touched up around door handles and such when the 15mm was too big. Maybe it was too much pressure. Most of it was just weight of the machine and my hand but I had a few scratches and spots that I put a little more weight on. I'll have to order another set and if they fall apart after 1-2 cars, I'll just try a different type of pad for it. Thanks for the response, Chris.

  7. Did I overheat these pads? I checked them regularly during polishing and they never felt hot, or even overly warm. The foam is splitting between the hook and loop and the face of the pad. Has anyone else had this happen? These are the 3.5". I believe it happened to the 5.5" as well but not nearly as bad.

Nice color!  I have been researching at these lately - like the size and look.

Go for a Sport/ST. The power is awesome. 315HP/350TQ. First boosted car, twins are awesome lol. It hurts the mpg but I wanna go fast lol.

I had only driven Ford work trucks and the quality in those is crap. This car is so nice though. We love it. The size and looks were huge selling points for us as well.

  9. Got the car back a couple weeks ago but I just found time for a quick wash. I used the Red Unicorn Soap and dried with Cyber Monday Cranberry Detail Spray. It needs polished so bad. I cannot wait to find the time. Hopefully next week/weekend. I also debadged the back hatch. No more junk stuck around letters!

  10. I asked them not to touch the paint but they still put the bow on it. The hood is covered in scratches/swirls but so is the whole car. I knew it would need polished anyway. I plan on correcting the paint and using Graphene Ceramic on everything. I only had time to hand wash and spray wax before we left for the weekend but it cleaned up well. CarMax has to fix a few issues (see flaky paint below, hoping for a repaint) before I work on polishing and coating. I can tell it's going to look amazing when it's all cleaned up.

  11. Our Kia Forte was totaled around the end of January. We were looking for a smallish SUV. The top contenders were Jeep Compass and Mazda CX-5. I looked for Crossover/SUVs with Turbo Charged engines and this popped up. It was right at the top of our budget but I figured we could at least test drive it. I found a local Edge Sport in white to test drive before paying CarMax to transfer the red one. One wide open pull out of the parking lot was all we needed to decide on this car. We didn't even test drive anything else. The 2.7TT EcoBoost is amazing and with 29k miles, it's nearly new.

I will say, mine was damaged in shipment as well.  It was obvious it was due to the handling of the product and the fact that the box it comes in is not padded.   I didn't send mine back as it was still functional but it was much like above, the red lock was bent and let me tell u that is a sturdy part so it took a lot of effort to damage it by fedex.

I just felt that for the amount paid, I should be the one to damage it. I'll keep the replacement that comes. I just hope it's in better condition. This is the first item that I've gotten from Adam's that wasn't packed that well. I assume Adam's receives them already boxed up though so it's not really thier fault.

Got mine today, and opened the soap.  That stuff doesn't smell like any detail spray I've ever used, unless it's supposed to smell like one of Adam's limiteds.  Wife doesn't liek the smell at all so not sure how much it will get used. Maybe in the garage or basement.  The rest of the stuff smells good though.

I think it was just typos in the label. I actually love the smell. It's in our main bathroom. There were a couple smells that were off to me but it's possible I felt that way because my nose didn't know what it was supposed to be smelling. I love the peppermint CS3.

Oh, and wife says to print off another label and put it inside the box when you ship it back.  Double protection.

Good tip. I dropped it off last night and didn't do that but I'll remember to do that with future things I have to ship. I'm hoping the next one is in good shape and arrives before the 4th. The box had definitely been beat around. I was a little surprised at the lack of packaging. The stool was just in a plastic bag and it seemed like the box was a smidge too small. It would be nice to have a little bit of paper stuffing to protect it a little more.

  15. I ordered the stool. It's very sturdy and would have been a great addition to my garage. It was beat up when I received it though. Powdercoating was scratched off and it was starting to rust. Once of the brackets that attached to the leg was bent and scratched off a bunch of powdercoating the first time I opened it. I emailed customer service and they provided a return label. I said I'd like a replacement if this is not normal for the stools but I guess it's the normal condition for them since they just provided a return label. I'm pretty disappointed because this seems like it is way better than a cheap version from Home Depot or similar.

Edit: I printed the Return Authorization to fill out and it looks like I have the option to have it replaced. I'll try that option. Hopefully the new one can arrive by Dec 4 since I'm detailing a huge car (pictures to come).

I ran out to the garage and took some pics. They're not great, but you can see what it's like opened up and the measurements.  Hope it helps you.  The second pic, there's a smaller stool underneath the Adam's stool, but I think  you can see the Adam's stool okay.  Didn't feel like moving the car for a better pic.  These things are a necessity if you have a truck or SUV.  If it's something  you're considering, I wouldn't hesitate. They're a great addition and a lot better than the small stool I had before. Oh, and there are steps on the legs so you don't have to "jump" un 20" to get on it.

Thanks! That helps a lot. I've got a detail on a large vehicle coming up the first week of December. I know I'm going to need something to reach the roof and maybe the tops of the windows. I'm hoping to find something local I can compare to see what I feel comfortable with. The Adam's one looks really solid. And I like the grip tape on this one. I don't think any others that I've seen have that.
