  1. Helped Reichler (formerly SkiPopeye) replace the radiator in his fathers 2004 GTO this morning and was rewarded for my efforts with a six pack of Stone Ruination IPA: IBU 100+ I could smell the Hops aroma upon opening the bottle. So good! So called because of the "ruinous" effect on your palate! This massive hop monster has a wonderfully delicious and intensely bitter flavor on a refreshing malt base. One taste and you can easily see why we call this brew "a liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Those who seek, crave and rejoice in beers with big, bold, bitter character will find true nirvana in Stone Ruination IPA!
  2. I'm reading, yes reading, Clapton The Autobiography by Eric Clapton copyright 2007. I can't put it down. I'm up to just over halfway through at January 1982. This man was a total mess for years, I don't know how he ever survived!
  3. I'm currently into the Hoppyer side of Beers, mostly IPA's. I'm downing a Stoudt's Double IPA right now and throughly enjoy Fegley's Hop'solutely Triple IPA and Victory Brewing Hop Wallop all three are fairly local Brewery's. My wife and I are heading South this weekend and Terrapin Beer Company of Athens GA makes a nice IPA called Hopsecutioner I love it, Dylan's here in the East for one short weekend and we corrupt him enough to start a Beer Thread within a Detailing Forum.
  4. Great write up, and good job on a beautiful vehicle.
  5. Nice job! I'd be pretty apprehensive to begin that large of a job on one weekend by myself.
  6. Bought the Daily Special last week one day when it was #1 & #2 Metal Polish, two Microfiber Applicators, and two of the Dark Utility Towels. Took care of my "Spring" Chrome Wheels and Stainless Steel Tips yesterday: My fingers and nail beds are sore, brused and battered. But these wheels have never looked better! Be aware, if you wash the Utility Towels their first time with your Double Soft Microfiber Towels you will end up with some to use while wiping off MSW!
  7. I'll try and help my fellow forum members out where I can
  8. Then to maintain use "gasp" the Mother's Power Ball or Cone with Adams Metal Polish (of course).
  9. I've put on my 72 MG, and my 79 CJ5 how about my third car? A 1972 Ford Torino with a Big Block 429 Cobra Jet: Had it around 1982ish, I remember being able to watch the gas gauge move as fast as the minute hand on the clock when floored: 6/8mpg city!
  10. Does this count? Thinking of the wearing a helmet comment Mr. KicktoTheJunk. This is my FIRST vehicle. My Father and I built it with plans from the back of Boys Life Magazine and an old Briggs and Stratton Lawn Mower Engine! Should have raked the front forks out a bit, snapped them off.
  11. Sweet Jeep Eric, my second vehicle was a 1979 CJ-5
  12. Just opened my Birthday presents: AC/DC Who Made Who and AC/DC Iron Man 2 I'll be busy for a while
  13. Foam Tire Shine? On the felt hood liner? Wouldn't that soak in, make it heavyer, pull against the pins and have it drop off? As well as becoming a magnet for all kinds of dust and dirt? I'm very apprehensive to even hit it with water yet alone any cleaner and a brush. I destroyed one on an earlier vehicle.
  14. Brag about what's under the hood? Na, just let my right foot let em know about this little sleeper! Show off huh? A new poll huh? I say bring it on! I'm ready and so is the Goat!
  15. Nice! I still like using the SVRT mixed: 2/3 product with 1/3 water in the engine bay: I spray a light mist and then wipe that down with the applicator (prepping the applicator with some full strength product first) before hitting the really hard to reach areas with In and Out Spray. I also hit the engine bay with the leaf blower before closing the hood to bake the remaining water off. Water lays/pools pretty heavy in some areas like around the fuel injectors and will be there for quite some time. Dylan, How do you do a hood liner?
  16. Well yes I do drive her! She has 8,300 miles on her The headers are SLP Ceramic coated Long Tubes. The SLP logo is on a small piece of polished stamped metal welded to the front primary on each side up close to the head. The primary tubes appear dull due to the ceramic coating.
  17. Well since I'm named in the OP! A few of the Goat and one of our 60,000 mile DD 2005 Volvo XC70
  18. Mother Nature's "Poling Rinse" just about to happen. A few more drops and the roof will be dry!
  19. Bob, as the previous pictures attest to you won't be dissappointed! There's almost a half a bottle of this stuff inside my Goat since January 1 A few areas (plastic panels in the rear) seemed to have, and hold, more of a shine than anywhere else. I knocked down the gloss with a microfiber towel.
  20. I replaced my wife's brakes on her Volvo XC70 with the Wagner Thermoquiet. The OEM pads made the front wheels a mess, the first drive after a wash. These Wagner pads keep the wheels much noticably cleaner. Her alloy wheels are clear coated, are yours? Could be the coating, or texture of the wheels that's holding the brake dust.
  21. Junkman, Finally got around to finding the time to go through the videos, great job, Thanks! I've got a question for you though: you're using the WCW like I'd use the DS. After the drive to the cruise-in, or show I'll wipe her off with the Cali duster then hit her with the DS. I'll use the WCW when I get her home and do the front clip and behind the wheel wells if I picked up anything there. You suggest using the WCW rather than the DS for dust. When would the DS be used? Do you have any videos showing its proper use? I have one Cali Duster, had it for roughly ten years. I've washed it twice: by hand with cool water and Woolite in a large laundry tub. I just have trouble sending that thing across the paint knowing how much dirt is embedded in it!
  22. Along with a microfiber towel...... /Thread
