  1. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Looking forward to learning more from you guys šŸ˜
  2. Happy Monday everyone! My car is in the shop so Iā€™ve used a picture I took last year after a maintenance wash. I just switched to Adamā€™s products and have been spending the last 2 hours reading post on here about cleaning and polishing wheels. Once I get my car back this week Iā€™m wanting to do a full exterior detail this weekend. A couple of questions I have: 1) Iā€™ve been reading a few post about how you donā€™t have to use wheel cleaner and tire & rubber cleaner for every maintenance wash. So will car shampoo suffice for the wheels and tires in between big details ? 2) How long does tire dressing last ? More specifically Tire Shine or VRT. Do I need to reapply after every weekly wash ? 3) Iā€™m more than positive that my OEM wheels are polished aluminum, but I havenā€™t done the test with the metal polish and applicator yet. If it turns out the wheels are not raw aluminum and are clear coated, can I use polish with my mini SK ? Or do I need use something like hand polish ? 4) How can I protect my wheels and tires ? Iā€™m waiting on ceramics till the winter time. Trying to figure out what product to use to seal/protect them for the time being. 5) I have the Visco clay bar kit. Will detail spray be okay to use as lube on the wheels when I clay them ? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hello everyone, new member here. Iā€™ve always loved detailing my car and something I believe I am good at. Iā€™ve been doing it since I owned my first car in high school. Itā€™s became a hobby of mine over the years, something I find relaxing. I just finished up my undergrad last week and already have my full time job. Since school is over with and I have so much more free time now, Iā€™ve been thinking of starting my own little detailing operation. I would first start out in my neighborhood and see how things went. Canā€™t hurt to try right ? Some questions I have as this idea is going through my head: I have a finance degree so I know prices are based off location, the market, and enough to cover the purchase of your products and time, etc etc etc. Ultimately I would need to figure out a profit margin for myself. However, what are ball park or general prices personal car detailers charge for various jobs ? Next, whatā€™s the best way of getting your name out there besides social media and word of mouth ? Since Iā€™m just starting in my neighborhood, I was thinking of making pamphlets and putting them in peoples mailboxes (bottom slot). Let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advanced.
