  1. Thank you, really appreciate the feedback. Thus far my maintenance wash routine is to pre-wash using Mega Foam in a foam cannon attached to my pressure washer. Sit for a bit. Rinse. Then wash with the Graphene Shampoo. I have NOT tried any of the decon steps, so I will give those a try next. I'll also use my clay mitt to make sure there's nothing left behind. As far as prep goes, I picked the car up from the dealer without them washing it. I was there when unloaded from the truck and watched the shipping stickers removed. Paint was as fresh as I could get it. Took her home and did the full process of strip wash, clay mitt, iron remover, mega foam wash, machine polished with the finishing polish & pad (not sure was needed but did so anyway), alcohol wipe down entire car and then another alcohol wipe down before applying to each panel. So I believe I did everything necessary. Oh, each rinse was with deionized water and used a leaf blower to dry. So I will do another wash. I believe I have strip wash left over. I'll use the clay mitt as well and see what happens. With luck this was oversight on my part and I just have crap still embedded. Unfortunately I live outside Chicago so when I washed it last in October the coating was fantastic! But then she wasn't washed again till May so 5-6 months of accumulating crud. Plus in spring our vehicles are coated in lovely pollen. Thank you again!
  2. Three years ago I did my Vette with the original Graphene coating. Results were outstanding. Even today everything is holding up well. In fairness she sits in the garage inside the CarCapsule so probably ideal conditions. Last year I bought a new daily driver and coated it with Adams Advanced Graphene coating. Not even 12 months later I don't think there's anything left on the body. I've washed it. I've topped it off with the spray on coating but before doing so it looked like the car had never been taken care of. No hydrophobic properties. Water is jus flat and staying on the panels. This car sits outside in the Chicago weather though, so drastically different. My question is how can I remove (if any is even left) the coating so I can go through the process again? Will a mechanical correction with just the finishing compound be good enough?
  3. Referring to the small one: https://adamspolishes.com/collections/tools-lights/products/adam-s-swirl-finder-flashlight I purchased it earlier in the year and am getting ready to do a full detail on my car. I had the light on the charger for more than 24 hours. Clicking the power button works for the top light. However the strip light I can not determine if it's not working or I'm just having a mental deficiency! I notice that the clip moves left and right. I've moved it in each direction and the light does not turn on. My assumption is one way is high and the other low but nothing. Where the USB cable plugs in is all green indicating fully charged as well. I will gladly purchase another or consider upgrading but figured I would check here first. Thank you!
  4. Thank you much for the replies! Just my luck, mine is a 2016. I'll be ordering and giving Adams compound and polish a go! Looking forward to the results!
  5. Thanks! From a distance it looks great but in sunlight you can see that the previous owner just took her through car washes. As far as my dust question it referred more to the fact that when working Meguiars products they tend to dust and leave a nasty mess behind. Perhaps this is a case of user error but I've done many cars and always had the trouble with it. Slowly been converting to Adam's products and hoping to learn more before pulling the trigger. Thanks again!
  6. Hello! New to Adams products and seeking some advice. I recently picked up a 2016 C7 Stingray. It's in Torch Red and beautiful. I've been an "enthusiast" weekend detailer on my previous cars largely using M105 / M205 combo for paint correction. I've hated the amount of dust that generated so I was looking at Adams as a replacement. My C7 was never properly cared for, I can see plenty of swirls form car washes or poor washing techniques. Question then is will the Adams Compound and Polish obtain similar results as M105 / 205 but without the dust? I'm in Chicago so I know it will be several moths before she will get the treatment but I'm one who researches the heck out of things first. Plan is to graphene coat the car, as such just planning out my shopping list. Thank you in advance!
